Massage or no??

Have any of you ladies ever gotten a Swedish massage? I was thinking about going with my mom and my bridesmaids like two or three days before the wedding to get one and hang out (relieve some stress) but I didn't know if this would be something everyone would enjoy. And would two or three days be okay or should we go like a week before? I was thinking of getting a gift certificate for my mom to go to the place I'm looking at and get one for her birthday. That way she could tell us if the people are any good and if she enjoyed it ;).

Actually that sounds heavenly. As far as if its something everyone will enjoy, well are they into that sort of thing? Some people are, some people arent. Me?......Id volunteer to drive everyone!

I have had them before. It is a personal thing. I personally enjoy a good massage but some people might be uncomfortable being naked with a stranger touching them. So you know your mom and girls better than I do, what do you think?

I wouldn't go any closer to my wedding than 2-3 days beforehand. Swedish massages are great to get, but you can get a little sore like from a good gym work out with them. They really work the muscles. So, drink lots of water afterwards and before settleing into bed that night pop an aspirin to keep the inflamation out of your muscles. If the person doing th emassage is pushing too hard than speak up. It should be a deep feeling that you are getting but by all means it should not hurt.

If you are worried (which you shouldn't be I get massages all the time and have only been sore like twice after them) look into Japanese style massages or hot rock massages.

I personally have never had one, but hey, who doesn't enjoy a massage? The being naked and having a stranger may be kind of weird, but so isn't having the lady at the salon touch my feet while giving me a pedicure. It's what they do for a living. It's not like they haven't seen what you've got before!

I have never had a massage. The naked part with a stranger would make me feel uncomfortable. Even though I know you don't expose yourself or anything. Just me I guess:confused:

That sounds wonderful!!!! I have been thinking about getting one for a while now, just with all the stress I've had from work lately. I'm thinking of just doing a day at the spa for myself and the girls a couple days before the wedding, just to freshen everyone up!
