Okay. I am looking for an A-line dress in white. I don't really want a 'wedding' dress but maybe more like a BM or Prom dress. I have found tons that I like, but can't find any in white.

I really like this one I found from David's..

You may want to try J. Crew, Chadwicks and JcPenny. They usually have really nice ones for awesome prices.

JCrew and Banana Republic have some nice ones in white. Also, instead of looking at bridal gowns, look at bm gowns. I know that Alfred Angelo and Bill Levkoff both have white and/or ivory dresses.

Check out this place. They will custom make your dress. I knew a girl on another forum that did this and was very happy with her dress. The prices are so cheap it is hard to belive. I think I am going to get my dress here:

I have seen some really pretty dresses from the Sears Catalog... So that might be something worth checking out.

Do you know anyone who sews? I saw some REALLY beautiful dresses when I was looking through McCalls and Butterick for BM dresses. Then you could pick exactly what fabric, hue, etc and get exactly what you want. And it's SO MUCH more affordable than buying it.

You could also check the Mori Lee website and look under the voyage/destination wedding gowns. I saw a few like you mentioned in there.
