What do you think of April Fools Day and/or practical jokes in general?

Me; yeah I am not a fan. I just don't see the point in playing jokes on people. So often the joke ends up hurting someone one way or another and that is not funny.

The whole thing reminds me of a bunch of immature frat boys :snide:

I think it is fun as long as the joke isn't on me lol. Not really fair, though is it! I was just telling FH about a joke that I thought of involving our workload planner at work, and assigning a bunch of projects to appear on Aprils 1st, then telling them it is an April fools joke when they open the project, or putting it on a different day so it wasn't obvious. We didn't do it though, and I don't have to work tomorrow, so I wouldn't even have enjoyed the fun!

Ugh, last year my family played an awful prank on me. They are all just a bunch of pranksters anyway and this "holiday" just gives them a big excuse to misbehave! Haha. So yeah I'm not too fond of April Fools Day.

It was fun as a kid, but thats about it. I remember putting peanut butter on the earpiece and mouth end of the phone and make my mom answer it lol. I was such a brat :)

I think it would depend on how far the joke goes. I haven't played one on anyone yet, but I work in a little while so who knows... *evil laugh*.

Depends on the joke and the intention (i.e. is it to laugh with you, or is it a malicious joke).
I told FH that we had to move up the wedding because I was pregnant. He told me I was mean, but then thought it was hilarious. He was impressed that I kept a straight face for the all of 10 seconds before I said "April Fool's."

To me, some of the jokes are funny when I hear them told by other people...but I'm not really a fan of the "holiday". I never play jokes and Alex never plays jokes on me either.

We witnessed an april fools joke on Saturday. We were at a wedding reception and one of the groomsmen's (also a good friend of my fiance) birthday is on April 1. So there was a cake ther that said Happy 40th 'over the hill'. We had no idea who it was for until towards the end of the night they called the groomsman out and announced it was his 40th. It's really his 33rd birthday.

The above joke is pretty cute, but over all I think April fools day is pretty ridiculous. I just don't see the point of it all. Okay, let's make a day where it's okay that we play jokes on others yet everyone knows that this is a day we play jokes on eachother. Seems it should be called play a caption obvious fool day! Personally, I also think it rather immachure too more or less like something that is done in a frat house or something.
