Yea! I'm so glad they are letting us have a place to do this. I know most of us probably have wedding website, but they aren't the same huh? I just wish we were able to comment on other people's threads, but I think the PM suggestion would work rather well for now.

I guess I should start from the beginning about us and tell everyone how we met...


When people ask us how we met, I can't help but laugh. Then they start to look at me funny. Patrick and I have actually known each other a lot longer then most people realize. People think we are crazy and that maybe we are moving too fast and what not. Patrick and I actually met in high school. We were neighbors to be even more precise. We lived across the street from each other when we were both living in Orrington. I was too busy with my social life though to pay any attention to him. His foster mother would always tell me to get up on their porch when it was raining outside and I was waiting for the bus. We would make small talk, but never spoke or even acknowledged one another except for while waiting for the bus. Then in the summer of 1998, I moved from Orrington to Glenburn to live with my father and didn't see Patrick after that, until......

Jump ahead to April of 2004. I was in my last year of college, getting ready to graduate with an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies. My friend Andrea and her boyfriend David decided that we all needed to go out without our munchkins and have a good time. We ended up going to Russell's to play pool. I am not very good at pool though, so I eventually convinced them to go somewhere to bowl. The only good bowling alley around here though is The Sports Arena, so that was where we went. Andrea and I went to get our lane set up and grab a drink while David lagged behind talking to someone. I almost recognized the guy he was talking to, but wasn't sure where I knew him from. He didn't come over and hang out with us, so I didn't give it too much thought.

The following Friday I got a phone call from Andrea TELLING me that I was going out with her and David that night and that I had no choice in the matter. She said that David's cousin was coming with us though and that they had to go pick him up first. I figured that since this cousin wasn't driving that it was one of the younger cousins and therefore didn't think much of it. Well, it took them two hours to get to my house to pick me up. When I finally got in the car, I realized who was sitting next to me. We went back to The Sports Arena for some Karaoke. Andrea and I went to sit and the boys disappeared. Turns out that Patrick was at the Crane game trying to win me a stuffed animal. He didn't win me anything that night, but has won me many animals since then. He got up and sang Karaoke and we danced and had a good time. The first song he did was actually, "Behind Blue Eyes" by Limp Bizkit. Later on though, to really catch my attention, him and a buddy got up there and sang "Barbie Girl". He started doing some really funky things and caught my attention all right. Things progressed from there and we have been together ever since.

And of course there was the engagement!

Patrick and I had made jokes about getting married. Everyone figured we would eventually get married, but the only one pushing the subject was his father. We had gone down to Steve and Carla's for dinner one day and Steve grabbed my hand and said, "Why isn't there a ring on this finger yet?" Patrick and I had only been dating for five months and I figured Patrick would just laugh it off. Well, a couple of weeks later while I was at work, I got a call from my friend Andrea who told me that Patrick had just called her and that we were all going out tonight. This confused me because honestly, Patrick and Andrea don't always see eye to eye so I wasn't sure why Patrick was calling Andrea to find out if she wanted to go out. And honestly, I was a little upset because nobody had asked me if I wanted to go out. Everyone just made plans without me.

After I picked up Patrick from work, he drove us over to The Sports Arena and the whole way over he kept saying things like I have this weird feeling that something bad is going to happen tonight. When we got over to the bar, Andrea and David said that their car was overheating so David and Patrick hung back to take a look at it. Andrea and I walked in and I immediately saw Carla and asked what the heck she was doing up in Bangor at this time of night. She said that her, Kelsie and Steve had come to Bangor to get costumes for Halloween (this was all on October 26 by the way) and that Kelsie wanted to play pool so they stopped there to play. Seemed kind of fishy to me.

Steve and I then proceeded to play a game of pool and as we all know, I stink at pool, so I wasn't having a very good time. As I was about to make a shot, Patrick says, "Honey, come here." to which I replied, "What do you want?" but still walked over. The next thing I knew, Patrick was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I started to cry and was giving Patrick a hug when Steve said, "You know, it's still your shot!" Ahhhh....to be a Davis.

Yuk. I am not sure why my ticker keeps messing up Oh well, Worse things to worry about.

Oh, where to begin.

When I first started DRESS shopping, I fell in love with a Morilee dress. Spaghetti straps, ballroom skirt, sweetheart neckline and a corset back. I tried it on a couple of different times and each time I was pretty sure that it was the one I wanted. I was dead set against any sort of strapless gown because it was my belief that I didn't have enough of a chest to hold it up. Of course, later, my MOH MADE me try on a strapless gown and I actually ended up preferring a strapless gown to one with straps. EVERY strapless gown I tried on looked wonderful on me. So, I have decided to go with a stapless.

I have my dress although, I am unsure if this is the one that I will in the end use. You see, the dress I currently has is beautiful. It's simple with clean lines and very elegant. Lately though I have been dying for something with more detail and more of a train.

Beautiful, but rather plain with NO bead work, barely any train....not what I am feeling right now. I was at the time, but not now.

When I first started looking at headpieces, I had such a rough time deciding what I wanted. I really liked how the two tiered veils looked and was going to go with that. Then I tried on a tiara and thought of having just a tiara. I figured that either way, a two tiered veil and a tiara would be too much. I want my dress to be what everyone remembers, not the headpiece. I eventually decided on a one tier veil and a beautiful tiara.

I got such a good deal on both of these! It is almost ridiculous! I paid $17.00 for the veil and only $11.00 for the tiara! Neither one look as though thery were that inexpensive though! That is the beauty of it. They look and feel like they were WAY more expensive!

So, these are our toasting flutes. We actually got these for free. Somebody called us one night and told us we had been chosen to receive a free gift. Catch was, we had to go to a presentation. Yeah, yeah okay. I ain't buying anything though. So, we get there and it is for cookware. Not anything I need. So, they give us these flutes for free along with a free 2 day, 3 night hotel stay at certain hotels in certain cities. Needless to say, the hotel stay won't be used, but these 24k lead crystal toasting flutes still save us some money.

Seems like such a small detail, but this was one of the first items that we picked up. Our cake topper. We aren't the fancy type. We wanted something that was "us". Precious Moments makes me gag to be honest with ya.

We actually have one of these bikes...in purple and yellow...hmmm...good color scheme..maybe I'll use it in the wedding....

I found these online and was curious to know how well the bells worked. I ordered the minimum amount possible just to see and test them. They work pretty good and they are awfully cute

Apparently, Patrick had been planning the proposal for a couple of weeks, but he had to move fast. We have a shared bank account and he knew that if I got the bank statement before I got the ring, he would have some explaining to do.

I didn't pick it out. He didn't even know if I would like it. I dropped him a few hints about what I liked. White gold, nothing too big and I have to say that he did a pretty good job of getting it right.

We are having lavendar and yellow for our colors and so I wanted something really pretty for my garters...these are what I found on ebay. $10.00 total for two of them...they are usually about $8.00 for one. Good deal I say.

This is his ring. He actually picked this out alll on his own. I wanted him to get the one that matched mine exactly, but it was kind of a thinner band. He wanted something thicker (so that the ladies know he is taken?) and this one goes just as good with mine:

As I previously mentioned, our colors are going to be lavendar, yellow and of course white. Centerpieces were going to be a tough decision on what to use. We have simple tastes, so we didn't want anything overly extravagant, but we still wanted something pretty. This was a call for somthing homemade. And these were what we found:

These all are made of wine glasses and martini glasses. Some of them are going to be used as candle holders, while others will be left the way they are. I believe we are going to sprinkle flower petals around the bases of them and maybe some other silk flowers. We haven't fully decided yet!

So, we decided early on that we wanted a carrot cake...Kind of iffy I think, since not everyone will like carrot cake of course, but oh well...this day is about us right??? I hadn't really thought much about what I wanted the cake to look like, but I came across this and really liked it:

We were having a really hard time trying to find a place that is nice and somewhat inexpensive place for the reception. Anywhere nice was too expensive and anywhere inexpensive wasn't too nice. I found this place at $300 for the full day, with the table and chairs included in that price...and full use of the kitchen...Sounds like we have a winner!

When we were planning a Catholic ceremony, we were a little more limited on what kind of vows and readings we could use. While I think that we will probably continue to use traditional vows, this still remains uncertain at this point. This is one particular piece that I would like to incorporate into the wedding:

The Blessing of the Rings;
The wedding ring is the outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual bond which unites two loyal hearts in endless love. It is a seal of the vows [Groom's name] and have made to one another. Bless O God these rings, that [Bride's name] and [Groom's name], who give them, and who wear them, may ever abide in thy peace. Living together in unity, love and happiness for the rest of their lives

[B]The Exchange of rings:
I give you this ring as a symbol of our vows, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, With this ring, I thee wed.

We were suppose to be married at St. Mary's Catholic Church. We had been told by FH's father that he was baptised a Catholic and therefore we ran with it. All was fine until we had to start the great hunt for his baptismal certificate. Nobody could find it anywhere. We finally broke down and asked his mother who said she thought he was baptised Episcopal...no luck there either. So, either way, we lost our St. Mary's venue and are now scrambling to find another venue. The main one we are looking into is in Orrington, which is actually where FH and I first met.

My father, who is a craft bugger, has graciously agreed to do our ring bearer pillow. It is going to look something like this:

Our reception location is possibly going to be in a small town called Levant for which Patrick is a volunteer firefighter for, so this church, which in non-denominational also proves to be promising:

I had such a hard time finding invitations that I liked. I spent hours pouring over catalogs looking for something simple, elegant and inexpensive. I am not a crafty person and so doing them myself was a no go. However, I did find these:

These are homemade invitations done by a woman I found on Ebay. Her package goes for $29.99 plus $10.45 S/H (total of $40.44) and includes:

Patrick and I don't think we want to do the whole bouquet toss and garter toss and instead would like to do an anniversary dance. The DJ will play a song and all the couples will be on the dance floor. Obviously, him and I would be the first off of the floor. Then the DJ does other time increments. Whoever has been together the longest, will get my toss garter and bouquet and then maybe share another dance together. Ideas for songs for this dance include:

Ceremony Items Ceremony Site Fee

The ceremony site fee is the fee to rent a facility for your wedding. Some people opt to have their ceremony at the same facility to save on a second rental fee.

Both of our possibilities fall under the price range of $100 - $1000 that is considered the normal. And both places go for roughly $700.00

This is the Isaac Farrar Mansion, which I am pretty sure we are 100% decided on:

As much as he wanted a church wedding, he decided he would rather go to the UK for our honeymoon and so he compromised and we decided to hold the ceremony in the same location as our reception which is HERE (http://www.bangorymca.org/?cat_id=272) This will make things so much easier. The church wanted $700.00 for the use of their church and everything, whereas this place will only charge somewhere between $35.00 and $50.00 for the use of their ceremony room and another $50.00 for the use of the "Bridal Suite".

Officiant's Fee

This is paid to whomever performs your wedding ceremony. Some officiant's may not accept a fee, but those that do usually go for anywhere between $100.00 - $500.00.

Thus far, this fee we have found goes between $25.00 and $100.00

Officiant's Gratuity

This is an extra, discretionary amount of money given to the officiant. Usually between $50.00 and $250.00 and should depend on your relationship with the officiant.

Guest Book/Pen/Penholder

This item is placed at the ceremony and reception site for people to sign in. You can have a guestbook attendant if you feel that it is necessary, but of course, it isn't always.

My guestbook is going to be a scrapbook guestbook set up so that I can put my pictures and my guests can sign the same book. No pics of this yet, but once I begin, I will post pics.

This should run me about $30.00 or less.

Ring Bearer Pillow:

My seven year old son will be acting as our ring bearer. I know that he would be perfectly capable of carrying the real rings on the pillow and not using them, but I think I may just put mock rings on it.

Gown should be ordered four to six months before wedding if it must be ordered and then fitted. Gowns USUSALLY range from anywhere between $500.00 - $10,000.00.

Bridesmaids Attire All of my girls have gotten their dresses from DEB in the mall. They were only $49.99 plus tax and are absolutely gorgeous. When I took my cousin who is a JBM to get hers, her mother (my aunt) told me afterwards that she had a talk with my cousin and told her that even if she thought the dress I chose was drop dead ugly, she couldn't say anything and had to suck it up...Luckily she said, they all thought it was beautiful. I had such a hard time finding invitations that I liked. I spent hours pouring over catalogs looking for something simple, elegant and inexpensive. I am not a crafty person and so doing them myself was a no go. However, I did find these:

I found these online and was curious to know how well the bells worked. I ordered the minimum amount possible just to see and test them. They work pretty good and they are awfully cute. Off of ebay for $10.00!!

Cake Knife/Toasting Flutes
We haven't gotten our cake knife and server as of yet, but we want something really simple. He wants something with a black handle on it..why I don't know.

So, these are our toasting flutes. We actually got these for free. Somebody called us one night and told us we had been chosen to receive a free gift. Catch was, we had to go to a presentation. Yeah, yeah okay. I ain't buying anything though. So, we get there and it is for cookware. Not anything I need. So, they give us these flutes for free along with a free 2 day, 3 night hotel stay at certain hotels in certain cities. Needless to say, the hotel stay won't be used, but these 24k lead crystal toasting flutes still save us some money.

My dress is a floor length gown with a sweep train while my veil is finger-tip length.

Even after my stepmother did some of the alterations, more will still have to be done, although I am not certain how much it will run.

Total for this section: $140.00

My garter was another $10.00 and I have decided no gloves and have not chosen my jewelry as of yet. No shoes either although I really need to get on with picking those out.

So, Patrick's father volunteered to pay for the Photographer, which takes a HUGE load off of our shoulders. We decided to go through the same photographer that did FFIL's 2003 wedding to Pat's stepmother. For all day coverage, she is charging $850 and that gives us roughly 200 - 250 prints.

As much as I would like to, I don't think we will be having a videographer as this wedding.

I finally finished my kissing ball. I had gone to JoAnn Fabrics and they sell kissing balls there, but they were small and none of them came in my color. So, after about a day's worth of work, I have this:

We got our cake serving set back today and it is all engraved and it cost me $0.00 for the engraving. Patrick's step mom works somewhere that they can engrave metallic things, but she can't engrave glass which stinks! Since, I am not able to use my centerpieces, I want to turn them into special glasses for the BP, but would like them to be engraved and I don't know how well stickers/rub ons would work on them...I will have to look into that!

I really want to be able to give my father and step-mother a chance to have a dance together at the wedding because they didn't have an actual wedding...they eloped one night and never had the big to-do, but I think it would be great to give them a dance...

I ordered my cake today!! We both agreed that we wanted something elegant and simple, so I went and I found something that I thought was just that. Please, please, puhleeze excuse the picture as she was only able to make a photocopy of the picture of the cake, so it is the best that I have:

different First Dance Song So, as I was checking and double checking things with Patrick, we came across the issue of the First Dance song. We were going to do it to "The Good Stuff", but then he decided that while it was the first song we danced to, it started out talking about fighting and we didn't want that. So, he suggested this song, and while I haven't confirmed it with him, I am all for it...I really like it a lot!!

So, I think what I am going to do is save everyone's RSVP cards, bring them to the ceremony/reception and have people find their cards and sign them and put them in a fish bowl and then later go and put them into my scrapbook. This seems like the best idea. I got a good sized fish bowl from Wal-mart last night for $6.00 and I will probably decorate it somehow...With some rubons and some ribbon, but I need a catchy poem to let guests know what they are suppose to do...Any suggestions would be great! I'll post pictures of the bowl after it is decorated!

Well, I originally had a bouquet all picked out for myself , but I decided it wasn't full enough and that I didn't like it very much, so instead I am getting this one:

This bouquet just looks fuller then the other one. The other one when I got it was kind of flimsy and what not. This one measures at 9.5" wide by 11-13" long and will look much better. Also included in the package was a MOH bouquet (one that will actually match mine), a total of six bouts, 2 double rose corsages and 2 single rose corsages

Like anyone really cares what I am wearing underneath my dress, but hey, I thought I would share anyway because I think they are cute! I did get a "shaper" or a tummy hider, whatever you want to call it, but can't find a pic online and I think it is unneccessary to go through the hassle of getting out my digi just for that. But here are the cute undies I found:

Yes Karen, that is a garter that I put over the top. The stones are just those little decorative ones that you can get at The Dollar Store. And silly me forgot to explain what I am doing it for! I am having a Scrapbook Guestbook type of thing and decided the best way to do it is to bring all of the RSVP cards I get and have the guests find theirs, sign them and then put them into a fishie bowl and then I can put them into the book later. This is the fish bowl I intend on using.

Well, how clever is that? You've got it tied to the wedding with the garter which adds a very decorative detail, I might add. And you've got the stones which ties your color theme into it. I would have never thought to do something like that, but it is so original. With very little cost, you have a lovely colorful wedding item to set on one of your tables. I love it! I am waiting patiently for my mail to get here as my first batch of flowers is suppose to be arriving today. With my bouquet, the MOH bouquet and all of the bouts and corsages....I hate waiting!

I'm also finally ordering a gown bag for, well, my gown. When I ordered my gown, it didn't come with one and I am not sure why I have put off getting one, but I will finally be getting one. Better late then never I suppose.

I'm sure they will be gorgeous!! I lucked out with these...I paid 64.90 for the whole 12 piece package off of Ebay. All the bridal bouquets that I have found that are like that are like $50.00 by themselves, so to get the MOH bouquet and the corsages, bouts and such was a deal.

Even though it may sound cheap, I have to say that Dollar Tree is a heaven send!! I just got back and got all kinds of goodies for my shower for the girls to use and some stuff for the wedding...tons of stuff and I only paid $43 for it all. I got five mini fish bowls for decorations (I'll be showing finished product later), some jewels, some "rings" to wrap around the bubbles I got...Just a bunch of stuff! BBL to post it all!!

Jopet, everything was a dollar a piece. I got five fish bowls, so those were $5, five bags of gems (even though, I only ended up needing two), so those were $5 and the candles were 2 for $1, so that brought my total up to $13.00 for those. The glasses cost me $3 and the scrapbooking rubons I used cost me $2.99 at Target. So, not a bad deal.;)

Hey Liz! I gotta say I just LOVE the bouquets and hooyah for the Dollar Tree--I miss the really good one I used to go too. By the way, it doesn't sound cheap, it sound practical. My Mama mentioned yesterday that, because we bought the glasses for the centerpieces, we're going to have a TON of glasses around the house. I said I knew, but I just couldn't see spending three times as much to rent them...God bless the dollar store!

Well, I got my Ceremony Programs all figured out!! Hooray!! I've got the proper format saved onto my computer, although, the wording is not set in stone yet, as we still need to decide on music selections, the order of the ceremony and find out if Matt will be standing up with Pat or if Tim will end up doing it for Pat. Surprisingly though, I have no worries.

I was talking with my SIL (brother's wife) and she asked me if I was worried about certain individuals backing out and not standing up with us. I am actually NOT worried. I won't be surprised if it happens, but it is something that I have no control over and therefore, I DO NOT WORRY about these things. I see no reason to get worked up about things I cannot control! I know a lot of girls worry about these things, but it just isn't my thing to worry. At the end of the day, I will be married and that is what matters!

Well, I finally start a new job tommorrow!!! Granted, it is only a temporary job, but that is really all I want right now anyway! It is for a local 4 attorney law firm and I will be filling in for the receptionist while she is on maternity leave, which should take me through the end of August. They are all ready aware of the time I need off in July and August and are fine with it! Of course, this is the receptionist's first child, so who knows? She may decide she doesn't want to go back to work and a vacancy may open up!! But, I won't hold my breath...I will just be happy for now to have something to bring in some extra $$!

Well, I love my temp job, but I guess I won't be returning..at least for tommorrow...I don't know what happened. The temp agency called me at like 5:50 after I had been gone for 5 minutes...I wasn't home, but they left a message saying that they weren't going to need me tommorrow, but the thing is, there is one secretary, two paralegals on vacation and the receptionist just had her baby today...so really, the NEED someone there. I am not sure what I did or what the problem is and I won't know until tommorrow...Oh well, I guess...Just gives me more time to plan my wedding...

Also.... Make sure you always have extra tissues with you. Some washrooms are terribly gross and un-trust worthy or have no toilet paper. It's always good to have a couple extra with you. :)

Obviously that other temp job just wasn't meant to be!! I start a different temp job for a different company on Tuesday!! I won't be working for an attorney's office, but instead I will be working for the area hospital www.emmc.org (http://www.emmc.org/) Eastern Maine Medical Center. And I will not only be working for them, I wil be working for the President and Vice-President of the Hospital, which means way more $$!! How much more? Well, at the last temp job, I was getting $8.50 an hour, the jobs before that was $9.50, but this one....$12.00 an hour!! 40 hours a week!! Umm..hello! Good-bye financial worries! Temporarily of course. The job is only suppose to last until August-ish, but now that I have my foot in the door over there, they are more likely to find me a permanent job over there when the time comes! Hooray!!

The seller said they would take two weeks to get here. It has been almost three weeks since she received the payment and it's not really pissing me off that I don't have them...It's pissing me off that she won't answer any of my emails! What the hell? Answer the email and tell me where the hell my flowers are! She better get hopping on answering me! Although, I don't really know what I am going to do if she doesn't, but the flowers better get here soon!

I'm so crushed right now. I just found out something horrible and I had to find out through myspace of all friggin places. I'm so crushed. My middle school sweetheart Adam Joseph Carlisle (http://www.bangornews.com/a/class/obituaries/obituary.cfm?id=57385) was killed the other night. He decided to drive drunk and go 100 miles an hour and was in a fatal accident. The services are tommorrow and I don't know if I can go and handle it. But, I think I have to. I'm so crushed right now.

I hardly even remember the music from our ceramony. I was so wrapped up in Mark i don't think i even really heard it.

I don't really care what music is played during the ceremony, but there are certain songs I want played, such as the music I am walking down to and the music we leave the mansion to. The in between things, I don't really care about.

Eek!! My shower is tomorrow and as bad as I am, I peeked at my registry and someone bought the monogramed towels that I wanted!! Hooray!

The problem is some people I don't think know that if you go in the store to buy the gift, you are suppose to tell the person at the counter that you are buying it off someone's registry so that they can update the registry, KWIM? So, things have probably been bought and not marked, but I love my towels! I can't wait!

I just got back from my shower! So much fun! I was a little upset that NONE of Pat's family showed up, except for his step mother and sister, but nonetheless, I had a good time. The food was all very good! We played two games, which were fun. We had a word scramble and then people tried to guess my favorites. It was fun... Then I opened gifts. I don't have pictures of everything yet as I had to use a disposable, but I will get them here by either later tonight or tomorrow. For my gifts, I got:

My unity candle and the candle holder ~ this is to DIE for! I love, love, love the holder, even though it is a yellow gold, I don't care. It is gorgeous. The candle isn't one of those little cheapie ones either. It is a very big one that says: "On this day, I will marry my friend, the who shares my dream, life, and love." The candle holder is actually a candleabra, so it has the side things for the taper candles and in the middle of it is two "rings". Just beautiful!

I got very cute butterfly pajamas with some bath stuff.

I got a very cute purple "naughty nightie" with a robe.

I got my towels that you all have all ready seen.

I got a 5 X 7 and 11 x 14 frame that are just gorgeous! I can't wait to get a picture in that big one!

I got a four piece luggage set.

A total of $35 to Bed, Bath and Beyond and $15.00 check.

And I once again peeked at my registry when I got home and someone has bought my mixing bowl set that I wanted!!

After I opened gifts, we had the cake and then people started to take off. I had a good time, I am still just a little upset that no one from Pat's family showed up.

I am also not very impressed with my cousin who is all of a sudden getting married July 1. While it is going to be a small wedding and I am not invited, I am expected to go to some bridal shower for her next weekend. Apparently my Aunt (not the one who's daughter is getting married) said something to my other aunt (who's daughter is getting married), as did most everyone else in my family about how they didn't think it was right that I have spent all this time planning and Michelle has to rush in to get married before me. Apparently my aunt (the one who's daughter is getting married) was a little upset that anybody said anything to her, but oh well, what can you do?

Anyway, a good time was had by me and that is all that matters. Besides, my wedding will be the one everyone remembers!

After a full week of rain, early Saturday morning looked as though it would finally bring us some sunshine. Patrick had to work that morning and so, we were up at aroun 8:00 a.m. After I got Patrick up and off to work, I gave my daughter Summer a bath and had my son get into the shower and while I went about cleaning the house to try to keep my nerves calm.

I left the house at about 10 to pick up my brother. We decided that Uncle Richard would stay with Michael so that after Patrick got out of work, they could all go fishing down in Rockland. So, it would be just Summer and I going to the shower.

After I got home from picking up my brother, I had a phone call from Sarah's (my MOH's) mother asking what my kids were up to today. Taylier, who is Sarah's daughter, was looking for someone to play with and go in the pool with, so I said that Summer could come over to play.

Carla (FMIL) and Kelsie (FSIL & BM) showed up to my house at almost exactly 12:15 to pick me up. Pat wanted to take my Monte Carlo as it is better on gas then his truck, so Carla agreed to pick me up. After a short stop at Sarah's to drop off Summer and meet Sarah to have her follow us down, we were on our way. We got to my Aunt's house at about five minutes until one. There weren't many cars in the driveway when we pulled in, but I wasn't worried as it wasn't quite one yet.

So, we went inside and my step-mother Vicki, my grandmother Bonnie and Amanda were all there, as was my Aunt Denise, cousin Lauren and friend Bronwyn were all there. My Aunt Cheryl, cousin Michelle and her son David, my grandmother Frances, my bridesmaid Karen and my mother all showed up.

We started off by eating. We figured people would start to show up some more as the time went on and we figured we should wait to long for people.

I went last night to Things Remembered and got the gifts for the guys. We got them money clips that I will be taking down to my FMIL, who can have them engraved for free. Here they are:

I agree. I like the second ones. My one concern would be talking to your girls to find out if any of them have an allergy to certain metals. I know I couldn't wear those earrings without my ears swelling, turning red and itching like mad. Just make sure there are no allergies, my brother and his wife didn't and I was scratching and unhappy for the day! But I was INSTRUCTED I had to wear it NO MATTER what or my SIL would be mad! Yeah, thanks! lol. But yeah, just check with your BMs, if it's all good go for it! If not, I can usually handle the hypo allergenic ones for a while, maybe they can too! (if there are problems! :) ) Nice earrings and bracelet though. :)

Oh my word! Could these days go any slower? Trying to patiently wait.....Only 25 days. I got another RSVP card back today...The one from my bridesmaid Karen and Pat's 2nd Bestman Nick, they are married and obviously they were coming, but it is nice to get those back!

Probably starting July 5 we are going to be calling those people who have yet to RSVP, so, when we do, we are going to tell them that if I don't have an RSVP card in hand by the 10th, there won't be any food for them because my caterer needs her final headcount by the 14th, however, I am going to tell everyone she needs it by the 10th so that hopefully they will get me the RSVP's by the 14th.http://www.weddingchat.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Getting so excited. I need to go finalize my ceremony music and get that out to the DJ and get working on my programs. I guess Matt has chosen to not be a part of our wedding, so Pat is going to need to decide what to do with that.

Hehehe...So, I was the bigger person last night and went to my annoying cousins Bridal Shower. I even sat beside her and wrote down the gifts for her so she could write thank you cards to people. If you want to compare, I would almost say that mine went better (not that it is a competition). She had more people, but they mostly gave her gift cards to BBB, which I personally would rather have a gift. It was nice though and it was a good time. While I was down there, my Aunt Jenny (married to my biological Uncle Keith) gave me a gift from her and my Uncle.

As I was saying my good-byes, my step-grandmother said to me, "Thank you for coming. It was very nice of you." She knew that I wasn't really that happy to be there. I put on my cheesy smile and said, "Not a problem." She said, "Smile, I know." What gets me though from the sounds of it, my Aunt Jenny's kids, who are not even our biological cousins are invited to the **** wedding, but I am not. *Sigh* Sometimes I really hate being the bigger person. I really wish I could tell her what I think of her (my cousin Michelle), but my family will think higher of me for being the bigger person and smiling.

Not certain yet. I am trying to make sure I have another vacation day left. I also am trying to get done to stay home and babysit. If this works out I should be able to come up. It is difficult because it is on a Friday and every one at work is taking vacations. If it was a weekend I would have no problem. I will let ya know as soon as I do.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could get for our mothers for their gifts. I have my mother, my step-mother and his mother to find a gift for. I already know what my father is getting (hopefully!), but I am at a loss as to what to get for the mother's. I am going to get my father a two sided frame and have "Daddy's Little Girl" engraved across the top and hopefully be able to get "Changes" engraved across the bottom as that is the song we are dancing to. I'm stuck on the mother's though!

Oh my gosh! I have the greatest step-mother in the world! A while back ago, my father had emailed me and asked me if and where I was planning on getting my hair done as Vicki was interested in knowing as she wanted to get her hair done possibly. Well, I called all my girls tonight to find out who wanted to get their hair done so I could call and book the appointment tomorrow. Well, when she called me back, she started asking me a bunch of questions about the place I was planning to have it done and whatnot. My plan was to go to the local beauty school and have them do it. My girls were going to have it done there as well, but would have to pay for it themselves. Well, out of nowhere tonight, my Step-Mother said she was going to pay for me, my daughter and all my girls to get our hair done, but she won't let us get it done at the beauty school. We have to get it done at an actual Studio. My WHOLE wedding party. Only problem is my MOH Sarah is being a snob and doesn't want to get her hair done. She wants to do it herself.

Oh how I would love to! However, she gave some BS excuse about her hair be fragile and to difficult to do and she always gets frizzies that stick out and blah blah blah. So, she wants to do it herself. Whatever. I don't care. My step-mother is definitely the best!
