Summer and Carlos' Wedding Day 3/10/07

Well it was finally here and it was great! There were a few hiccups the day before but everything turned out great. I will start posting some pictures and then will share some of the details.

Alright so here goes, I took Friday off to be able to prepare for the weekend. Well, that didn't help much because I felt so unprepared but it was ok. I ran around Friday getting my oil changed and car wash and then we had an appointment at the salon for our manicures and pedicures. We showed up at about 3:30 and there was only 1 girl there to get all 6 of us done for our 7 pm rehearsal. I knew that wasn't going to work so we went to another salon that had 4 people to do it and we didn't get out of there until about 6:15. So we ran home and decided to just wear whatever we had on. We got to the venue about 7 and the minister was running late. So I went down to the banquet room to see how the set up was going and we were one table short. So I asked the manager to please add one more table. Then the rehearsal went great and we had reservations for dinner at the same place. It took us over 2 hours to get our dinner so needless to say it was very late getting out of there and we had to still go back to my moms and pickup all the decorations and centerpieces and take them back to the hotel we were staying at. Me and one of my friends that was not in the wedding party went back to my moms right after dinner to pick up everything and then went back to the hotel. It took us 5 trips with 4 people carrying everything up to the 3rd floor. Luckily I thought ahead and brought my hot glue gun because the centerpieces started falling apart after moving them around so much. After glueing them all back together, we finally went to bed around 1:30 am. Then my oldest daughter was so excited about the wedding she woke me up at 6:30 a.m. to start getting ready!

So I woke up at 6:30 a.m. and my oldest took a shower then I did. Then I attempted to wake my youngest daughter and that took a looooong time and boy was she moody. I finally got her to get up and shower so we could get ready. Since we got up early enough me and the bridal party and one of my closest friends went to breakfast. My friend that wasn't in the bridal party offered to go setup the centerpieces for me so I wouldn't have to worry about it. So once breakfast was over she went to setup up and we went right over to the salon. We arrived almost an hour earlier than our appointment but I am glad. It took about 3 1/2 hours for all of us to get our hair and makeup done. I was not completely happy with any of our makeup so once we finished there we went to meet the florist at the venue and then returned to our hotel, where I fixed everyone's makeup just in time for the photographer to show up.

The photographer showed up about 2 pm at the hotel and our ceremony was at 4. So we all began getting ready and taking pictures and before we knew it we were late... We ran down to the car and we were off.... I arrived at the venue but there were still guests arriving and I didn't want them to see me. So I waited in the car until my brother could find someone to open a back door for me to go in. Finally inside my poor youngest daughter was so nervous she had to go to the restroom 5 times in 20 minutes. Then we started lining up and my little one turns to me and says "mom I am to nervous I can't do it" do my brother who is walking me down the aisle walked down with her first. Then it is kind of all a blank for me. I couldn't even remember what the decorations or anything looked like until I saw some pictures that other people took.

Awww. just reading your story I got teary eyed. It sounds like you have some very supportive friends. I think that was cute what your daughter said!!
I got butterflies just thinking about getting walking down the aisle. It sounds like you had a wonderful day!
