Hey everyone,
I am new to here and I am trying to figure out what is the best wedding cake? What types of wedding cakes have you chosen for your weddings? Is it the theme of the wedding? Is it a tradition in your family? (My mom had a fountain somehow in her cake and thought it would be nice if I had one in mine! HUH!) Any suggestions?

It is pretty common for the cake to reflect your theme or at least the color scheme. I have not really heard of any family traditions regarding cakes, but every family is different. If you don't want a fountain then don't get a fountain.

Our wedding cake was a satillite cake - the layers were spread out on individual stands, rather than stacked. The flowers on top of each cake were flowers used in our boquets and bouts and my fab pastry chef friend made pinecones out of icing. So, yes, our cake reflected our "theme", if that's what you want to call it.

We don't have a theme so our cake won't reflect the theme. But we are having some of the flowers from our bouquets in the cake.

Our cake will be 4 tiers and will match the hues of the wedding.

From my knowledge about weddings and cakes. Just depends on what the bride and groom want. But most I have seen are just watching colors of the weddings.

We are having many cakes- the mini wedding cakes will be the centerpiece for the tables. They will be small three tiered and all white!!
