Has anyone ever used these? If you have, what do you recommend? I love the full look they give and some of the false eyelashes out there now don't seem over the top or really, really fake. The people i've seen them on, mostly models, it looks great! But they are models and some professional put them on. Anyone in the real world out there ever use them?

I got some from Sephora and comes with the whole kit and a holder. I think it the most important for people who are new to putting on fake eye lashes.
The kit also comes with glue and instructions.

I was told by a professional make up artist that the most important thing when it comes to fake eyelashes, is not to go cheap. Get the good ones (approx. $40) from a salon; don't get them at the pharmacy (approx 8-$12).
If it's the first time you have ever worn them, she also suggests that you should have a pro put them on.

I have worn the cheap ones and I loved them! But like suggested above if you can get a pro to apply even better as the cheap ones don't last long!

I wore them on my wedding day, i dont have nice lashes and it's one of those things id love. Mine were quite fine and they were cheap, though your choice of brands etc probably differs to ours. They stayed on all day on our wedding day and i had them on all night long for our reception back home with no problems.
I would say though to practice beforehand and wear them a few times to make sure they are comfortable and ok.

I'm not sure how much this would cost, it would probably be expensive but at a bridal show I saw this done. A Spa actually attached fake eyelashes that you can wear continuously and just go back every so often to get touched up. I don't know the specifics on this and I'm sure it's expensive but it's still worth looking into!

yea, i wore them for halloween this year: i was a cowgirl: and i had to get my sister to help me glue them on. its really sticky! so even if you go with the drugstore ones, use them a couple times before the wedding so you get good at it.
me and my sis kind of got my eye stuck together...tee hee hee
i love the look too though!

Hi everyone,
I had false eyelashes when I was a BM for my cousin's wedding last year. They were the individual lashes and were applied by the makeup artist. They were natural and beautiful. When I went last month to get my bridal portraits done, I asked my makeup artist to give me false lashes. She used the ones that were the entire strip b/c they were easier to apply. The entire session, I felt as though they were so heavy and I looked like I was sleepy in half of my pictures! It was so awful. Plus they were so long and dramatic I looked tranny! And my natural lashes aren't even that long to begin with.
So my recommendation is if you have never used lashes before and plan to use them on ur wedding day, use the individual lashes and the shorter ones, not the long going-out-on-the-town ones, b/c you want to look natural on your wedding day.
I bought some individual lashes from shu umera the other day, and with the glue, the total was around 25 bucks. Make sure you have a makeup artist or professional apply them for you though b/c they can be tricky suckers.

I really wanted to get some too. But their aren't (or at least I havent found any) make-up artists around.... would like BJ Salon or a hair salon do them?? Also, I was wondering about right after the wedding.... When I go to "change into something comfortable" (aka: sexy) are they easy for me to take them off myself... do they leave a mess, will my face still look okay after taking them off??

I have such light coloured eyelashes and their thin. I LOVE to wear fake lashes!!! I've always had the problem when I've done them myself that 1 eye can look great and then I try the next lol and I look like a MORON!!!!! I've had them done at a salon aswell and it was such a beautiful job! I'm deffinetly getting them for our wedding.

I had them done for my wedding. I had them done professionally. FOr my wedding itself, one of them was really heavy and uncomfortable, so I removed them between the wedding and reception. When my makeup and hair was redone for the reception, she put new ones on, and this time they weren't uncomfortable at all. Plus, you couldn't tell in any of the pictures, so it was great!

If you don't feel comfortable with the actual fake eyelashes, Maybelline has a fairly new mascara that looks like fake eyelashes when you wear it and it is AWESOME!!! I bought it and have been practicing with it for my wedding.
It's called Maybelline XXL. Try it...You'll LOVE it!!!

I danced for the Houston Ballet and we wore them alot. I would say use the individual lashes instead of the strips and practice before hand. If you don't have anyone doing your make-up I would enlist a BM to help with them- they never seem to come out as well when you do them yourself! You know your left eye looks amazing and your right eye lashes lean towards your nose! And they come off really easily with any eye make-up remover!
Tiffany- you must be getting excited- less than a week now- YEAH! Can't wait to hear all the details!
