Hey guys I lost my favorite Crock pot pot roast recipe, I know it had carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, beef broth, salt and pepper and the roast, but I completly forgot how to make it. Does anyone have a crockpot recipe for pot roast that they can share please? I am making it for guests tomorrow. Thank You :) Jen

Here is how I do it. I am not sure what kind of crock pot you have. But if you have the one that you can brown the meat in that's great. If not brown the meat a little with a little bit of olive oil until the meat is brown. Then transfer to your crock with the beef broth, s&p and garlic.. Cook on low for 3 hours and then add your potatoes, onions and carrots. Cook until the potatoes ect. until you can peirce a fork into the potatoes. Wallah its finshed. YUMMY. You can also make some gravy out of the broth.

I do mine a little different. I found this recipe in a crockery cook book I got when I got my crock pot.
I also brown the meat in olive oil before putting it in the crock pot.
For the gravy I use:
1/2 c chopped onion
1/2 c cooking marsala
1/4 c catsup
3 TBSP quick-cooking tapioca
1 TBSP worcestershire sauce
1 t dried thyme
1 t dried oregano- crushed
2 cloves garlic, minced

I suppose you could put the carrots and stuff in it, we always make some kind of potato seperately.

oops sorry, I forgot to post how it went. Well first I lost the lid to the crockpot, I have used it twice and somehow I misplace the lid???? So I borrowed a neighbors which was not a perfect fit but I had no choice. Then the potatoes got done 2 hours before everything else so I scooped most of them out and threw them down the sink and cut up new potatoes and put them in there with new onions. So to make a long story short instead of needing flour to make the juice turn thicker the potato parts that were left over from falling apart sucked up the juice and made a really tasty gravy type of texture LOL. In the end I really need to find the recipe that I lost, but this turned out not so bad for all the drama. The meat was good :)
