Our Innsbruck wedding!

After having spent the last few days with our families we moved all our wedding things to a different hotel the day before the wedding. We spent the afternoon finalising details with the hotel about our table etc, the girl assinged to us was so helpful and the table looked amazing. We had decided on one large table with Jamie and i at the head of it and our families/friends down each side, as this eemed the easiest way. I went to the hairdressers early evening to have my hair washed and curled to leave me more time the next morning. When finished we went for a stroll and had a meal together trying to make sure we hadnt forgotten anything!
When we got back we had a relaxing bath in the whirlpool bath, i had rose and ylag ylag which i'd bought and id got Jamie some dead sea bath salts for his. We stuck some music on quietly and lay in bed wondering what the morrow would bring!

We woke about 7 after a lovely relaxing sleep (we both took some herbal sleeping tablets to assist in this), we went down to breakfast, sat reading the paper - sometimes i wish was able to panic lol Jamie walked with me to the hairdressers and he went oback to have another soak int he bath! I forgot to add that as i was getting everything together last night, i noticed a stone out of my tiara, luckily it was in the box but it was too late to buy glue anywhere so i tried clear nail varnish and amazingly it seemed to hold.
I went to have my hair done which only took a little over 30mins and i waited for my brother to bring his daughter down (FG). His wife was not very well at all and had not been since arriving in Austria. I seen her after her hair was done and this is us

Jamie dressed while i done my make-up and then he helped me into my dress. Astrid our wedding planner arrived to see if we wanted anything etc but all seemed fine so she went to sort out the cake and room flowers. This us before we left

We went downstairs and our horse and carriage were waiting for us, ther was no snow on the ground only on the peeks but by this time i was past caring/noticing. Loads of people asked if they could take pics, shook our hands etc and it was very surreal lol we then got into our carriage while our photographer snapped away with her cam, then went for a ride for about 20mins around the main town area.
When we arrived back at out ceremony site only afew guests were there (apparently their taxis were all late) we started some more pics and had family ones taken. Then went into the 'Golden Roof' we chatted to our translator etc and then when the organ started Jamie and i walked in with everyone else following! We sat at the front with our 2 witnesses and sat through the majority of the ceremony. He talked about what marriage means, about love and that sort of thing then we stood for our actual vows which were just one line to which we answered 'ya' (German for yes). we all signed the register - which i almost signed the wrong name on lol
Afterwards we had some time for hugs etc before everyone went outside, Jamie and i had a few pics taken inside and then walked downstairs and out into the sunlight, to be met by a loud cheer and clapping from all those around (i wonder how many waited expecting a tradtional Austian wedding).
We both went to have some pics taken at a castel nearby and Astrid settled everyone infront of the bar at out hotel for the afternoon. When we came back (nobody told me that smiling for so long was so hard work) we all went upto our reception room for food.

The food was wonderful thought we were all very full, we cut the cake, which was a Tyrolean style Saché Torte, it tasted gorgeous but we could all only manage a few mouthfulls. We all went then to change for the evening, i didnt fancy wearing my dress to just sit down in all night and i wanted to keep it for when we got back but Jamie kept his kilt on.
We then went back up to our original hotel where we had booked a room for the evening. OUr wedding planner had mananged to find a guy who Jamie and i had seen on one of our previous vists and we had him to entertain us for the evening along with 2 others. It was a lovely evening, he got us up to do a traditional wedding dance, and there was much clapping and cheering for most of the evening. Jamie and i left about 11.30 to go to our other hotel and we had a long soak in that lush bath.
In my opinion the day went perfectly, ok we didnt have the snow we hoped for but we had a gorgeous sunny day, i managed not to cry and ruin my make up, we all ate way too much and i married the man of my dreams.
Sorry we dont have any pics yet, our proofs are small and dont scan well and i havent had any sent to me yet as we all only got home on Weds night. We were really pleased with our professional pics and they should be with us next week sometime - when i promise to scan some in! Thanks everyone for the compliments and best wishes!! It's been a manic couple of weeks culiminating in our reception in Wales last Saturday. I think i was more stressed on saturday than i was throughout the whole of the planning, but the room got done eventually, i had my hair done and we partied! It was hard work by the time we had said hello to everyone then people were leaving and we had to go thru the whole thing again backwards lol Some of us who stayed at the hotel didnt get to bed until gone 5 am we stayed up drinking in the lounge with some fo the staff. Trying to pack our presents etc up on Sunday morning took a lot of effort though! But the whole night went off really well, everyone seemed to enjoy, there were no arguments - now though im back down to earth with a major bang and back in Uni!!
Anyways here's a few pics of that night which i've been sent, my pro pics from Insbruck shouldnt be long now either so i promise to post those soon. Oh also we had a photographer to take pics on saturday, nothing major just some of our guests etc so we can save them all to disc to keep as a reminder of everyone there.
