I now have 9 and my arms feel balanced ;)
Here is a not so great pic of it; the colors are a bit off in the pic and of course because of the redness. The shading in the background will fade to a light gray.

For those of you that didn't read the earlier post with the sketch ... this piece is sort of for my late grandparents. The ladybug (off to the right above the flower the bird is feeding from) because that is what my grandmother use to call me (may also end up being for my niece). The hummingbird because it reminds me of their house. They always had those hummingbird feeders in the back yard.
Anyway, I like it and I think the artist did a great job. I will try to take a better picture once the redness goes away.
Peace :)

Brandi, it's very pretty. Looks sore as heck though to me. Love the hummingbird as you already know.
Oh how awesome. Looks great and I know that it will only look better as it heals. Yea!!

Thanks :) It actually isn't that bad, compared to the other one at least. But that may change tomorrow ;)

Thanks Gwen :)
As for your idea, I can't draw and really don't know anyone that can. But I am sure you could pay a tattoo artist to draw something up for you without actually getting it done. It would sort of be like a deposit for the work, if you didn't do it then you'd probably loose the deposit, but you'd still have the sketch.

It is really well done! Congrats! Do you use the same artist every time?

I go to the same shop. Only 4 out of the 9 tattoos I have were done by the same guy (the owner of the shop). The rest have been done by others at the shop that he recommended to me because he is always busy.

This one wasn't too bad. The one on my other arm was worse. That one got close to the inner arm and it sucked big time. So needless to say, I won't be getting sleeves ;)
The one I have on my lower back wasn't too bad for me ... but it is like 9 years old so I could have just forgot :bbmrgreen:

Pretty much; it is just like the sketch. We decided to add the shading in the background to fill some of the empty space so it would more balance out with the piece on my other arm. I am happy with it, I think it turned out well. I can't wait for it to heal so I can get a better pic :)
