What do you have hanging from your review mirror in your vehicle?

Another post by Brandi and Elizabeth got me to thinking....what do you have hanging form your rear view mirror? Some times I'm in awe of the amount of stuff some people put on their rear views and how the mirror stays on there! lol. (It is only glued on after all ;)) So what do you have? :D

In our truck we have two things hanging from our rear view mirror. We always have a dream catcher in our vehicles, I don't know why but we just do lol! And I bought a kukui nut lei with blue hibiscus painted on them and they are also hanging from the rear view mirror.

In my old car, (I don't know what I was on!!! lol) I had bent forks hanging from my rear view....LOL...I was a strange teenager who grew up to be an even stranger adult! lol. ;)

I don't have anything hanging from the mirror right now. Never have but once and then it was my stethascope (sp). so i always had it with me.

I can't stand having anything that swings form the mirror (too distracting) but as I posted earlier ...

We have a medalion that reads "In God, all things are possible" (it's only about the size of a quarter and doesn't swing), It's a mantra, if you will, for the both of us.

Nothing, I don't like the swinging or the limited windshield field of vision.

We have no problems as we have a big truck and have to look down on all the other cars driving anyhow. The thing that limits my vision is actually how the truck is made :purplex: . I've seen some people though that you have to wonder if push came to shove if they could really see anything through all the stuff hanging from their rear view mirror!! lol

I have two little stuffed unicorns on top of my mirror. ( the are snug between the mirror and the ceiling ) Hanging from my mirror I have a crystal heart that Nicholas got for me. It is more of a prisim as it shines rainbows every where on a sunny day. And a purple sack of some type of air freshner. I also have a tiny Kowola bear that has a shirt from Austraila on it, he is cliped to the chaine of the heart. And my mom gave me a small pendant I guess you wold call it that says never drive faster then your gaurdian angel can fly. That is hanging too. It sounds like alot but it isn't. And most likely looks likes alot but it doesnt block my veiw from any angle at all. I see fine out my window and my mirrow is not blocked at all. It may look like it but it isn't. I think it is becaue I am some what short.

I have a Moonstone pendant that Manish got me a few years ago as a gift. It was supposed to be worn as a necklace, but it's really large in size, so we decided that it would be put there. That way I always have him with me, even when he's not.

I used to have an orange lay ( I don't know how to spell it) hanging, but FH and I switched vehicles for a couple of days and he took it down and I just never put it back up!

Yes I own a neon lol. I have had it for 4 yrs and it has been great for me. It is just now starting to giveme alot of trouble. It is a 1999. But it has been great up utnill now. And with a 3rd child on the way I may have to get soemthing a bit bigger. I can put 3 in the backseat with no problem but if we go anywhere there is not alot of trucnk space for 3 kids and 2 adults.

My dad used to scream at me about the amount of things I had hanging from my rear view as well....but I never took any of it down! (I was a defiant teenager) lol. Now I like to keep it simple. :D

My 97 neon. I think I have replaced almost everything in her LOL She has quite a bit of rust now and the paint is peeling off in some places :( but she still gets us from A - B so we will keep her for a while yet.

It is on a short string so it doesn't swing much and doesn't obstruct my view ;)

Back in the day I had the tassel from my HS graduation cap on the mirror. Then I had a naught teddy bear once too.

My sister has a cross and a wallet picture key-chain (with a pic of her child) handing from her car mirror.

DH doesn't have anything on his mirror, but does have a dashboard hula girl, with a machine gun in her hand :bblol:

I have my parking pass for school hanging and my tassel from my high school graduation.

I used to have my gold medal from winning a national cheerleading competition hanging, but the sun was starting to fade the fabric it was hanging on so I took it out.

Whats more interesting for me is whats in the back windsheild...

We have a box of kleenex that is so battered and torn up that I probably wouldn't use one, some stuffed toys my kids have given me, a hard copy of hugh's portfolio (we really should bring it back in the house), mittens & hats (just in case we get stuck in the snow), a book of puzzles, and a car blanket that hangs down onto the back seat.

I don't want to nag Elizabeth but if you were ever in an accident or had to stop VERY suddenly, all the heavy things would become projectiles that could seriously hurt you. I mean sure, mittens can't do much, but Hugh's portfolio...who knows what evil intentions it has! ;)

Wow, I never thought of you as the cheerleading type, congrats on the gold though.

Nothing is in my back windshield, unless I am on my way to the ski trails and then the back of the skis rest on the ledge and extend to the front passenger seat.

I don't decorate my car at all.

Nothing. There are a few things in the backseat that just need to be thrown away (one of my MLT magazines, a book, towel, washer fluid, ice scrapper, etc) but nothing up in the back window.

It concerns me when I see people driving around with their dogs in the back window, can you imagine what kind of a projectile that animal could become in an accident!! It surely could kill a person!!

It's so interesting reading these posts. I have a plastic xoxo mardi gras necklace, a cross an Iraqi child made, a naughty bear keychain, and my mini marathon medal. I know it sounds like a lot but they're all small!

It concerns me when I see people driving around with their dogs in the back window
It bugs me to see animals loose in the car at all ... animals, like small children should be restrained in the car. I have a travel crate that is buckled in the back seat that my dogs ride in. It is just safer fo everyone.

Edit: I know a lady that let her dog ride loose in her car for years. Then one day they got in a wreck and the dog was thrown from the back seat to the front and broke two legs :bbeek: For her it was a minor accident, she was lucky nothing worse happened to her dog. Needless to say crates him in the car now.

Hah! Everybody would have hated to see my car during the Hurricane Rita evacuation here in Houston! My dog and cat were in my car...of coarse most of the time we were going about 5 miles an hour.

I dont have anything in my back window. Once in a while something of one of the kids will get put there and I have to take it out. ow my back seat has one booster seat, toys books, papers, snacks. I have 2 kids ages 5 and 7. THings never get brought back in the house. Not to mention the water bottles on the floor of my car. I need a warm day to clean it out.
