Tracking progress is one of the easy keys to success that many overlook when they try to lose fat and get in shape. Using sheets to track progress is a great idea. However tracking weightloss may not be ideal...The one issue with these sheets is that they track weight and weight only.

You can expect your weight to fluctuate a few pounds per week and even more for a few days per month.

We see many women clients gain weight the first 4-6 weeks of starting a fat loss training and nutritiion program. The result is often pure panic...until we ask one or two questions...

1) How are your clothes fitting...almost always looser
2) What is your body fat...if they are one on one clients at our club we can show them in black and white that they have lost fat and gained muscle

After a quick reminder that muscle burns calories, raise the metabolism and gives that slim, toned look all is well.

If your clothes are fitting looser and the scale has gone up or remained the same...pat yourself on the back. You are physcially getting smaller and more toned while raising your metabolism!

1 pound of muscle burns about 33 calories even at rest!

A person can be skinny fat and remember fat does not give that toned appearance.
