Honestly, I wasn't impressed with the guys all that much on Tuesday night. The girls last night really upped the anty. I love Lakisha and Melodee. I'm still keeping my guy pick the same...The one that looks like Jack Osbourne just cracks me up....As far as the gals I'm torn between melodee and lakisha..Those girls have some talent!!

We actually have to record it because we never know if we are going to be able to catch it either. But that is one of the shows that I've watched since the beginning (along with Lost and the OC), that I just HAVE to see, even if it's a day or two later.

As far as the girls go, I have been a Gina Glocksen fan since day one (it wasn't until the season really got under way that I learned she lives like 10-15 minutes from me). Plus, she totally has the rock and roll thing going and that's my personal perference as far as music goes.

As far as the guys, I too think Sanjaya needs to go, and should have left a couple weeks ago, but I'm sorta torn on which guy I like the most. I like Blake because his style is unique, Chris Richardson reminds me a lot of Justin Timberlake and I was a HUGE *NSYNC fan as a teen, and Chris Sligh has a great personality and sense of humor. So it's a toss-up.

I'm still rooting for Gina overall though. I hope she gets it but have a feeling it will be Lakisha or Melinda (that is if America votes strictly on talent alone...which they really haven't so far).

Blake and Jordin are my fave by far! I think sanjaya will make it pretty far (b/c votefortheworst.com is probably voting for him, like I heard they did with Taylor) so will Lakisha and Melinda, probably Chris Richardson too although I personally don't much care for him. If America picks someone will actually has a shot at making, which right now they are 2 for 5, then I think Blake and Jordin have the best chance. They can both sing, and have huge marketing potential. However, since Americe doesn't always pick the most successful, ie. rueben, fantasia, and taylor, it's a total unknown for me right now, but given hsitory, Sanjaya has a good chance (as much as it pains me to say that!!)

Yeah I heard that there are a ton of people that are out on sites voting for him to make the AI producers let him record a record and a bunch of people are trying to fight it...I heard something on the radio about it yesterday on my drive to work.

AI is rigged every year. They chose the person that is going to win it all out of the 24 and then they make sure that person wins. All reality shows are rigged....its just how it is...this year is just really showing how bad it is.

I've only watched like 2 episodes but I really liked Jordin and Blake. Blake is pretty versatile. I think he is interesting and entertaining. Jordin, I just think she can sing!

I'm actually changing my mind on my initial picks - though I'm patting myself on the back, because they are all still on the show. LOL!

But my top 2 guys are Blake and Chris Richardson.

And I'm pulling for Jordin. I think Lakisha and Melinda are extremely talented, but are starting to wear thin for me. And I'm not sure if the fans will start to get bored with those 2 because they are both very similar.

And this is horrible, but the more I watch Melinda, the more she really plucks my nerves. She needs to improve her posture and I'm not buying the "super nice and unassuming" act 100%. She was a backup singer for professionals on tour and she wants to act like she is surprised when people say she's good. And the friends that she dedicated her song to in the first few weeks were her stylist and vocal coach. I don't know. It will be interesting to see if there is anything that comes out in regards to how she really is because I'm just starting to feel that she's a fake.

As far as Sanjaya goes, yuck! I've heard of that website vote for the worst and FH also told me that he was listening to Howard Stern the other day and HE was even telling people to vote for Sanjaya just to keep him in.

When you go on that show you have to realize that you can get voted off at any point and he was lucky he made it as far as he did, and he just has to be grateful that he had the opportunity. I think he will be upset to find out (if he hasn't already) that they only reason he was saying was because of vote for the worst.

On Tuesday night's show, Simon Cowell had slammed his performance as "utterly horrendous." And for once, the notoriously mean judge was vindicated.
"I'm beginning to sense something here," a grinning Cowell said when Malakar wound up in the bottom three.
Six contestants are now left: Jones, Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Chris Richardson, Melinda Doolittle and Phil Stacey.
Malakar was routinely savaged by Cowell as he developed into one of the weakest, most awkward "Idol" finalists ever. Still, the gangly teen managed to outlast better singers by cultivating an unlikely fan base that helped him survive round after round of viewer elimination.
Though his breathy, childlike singing voice paled in comparison with other finalists, his ability to stand out kept him in the competition. He consistently delivered the season's most talked-about performances, even daring to sport a ponytail mohawk that added pizazz to an otherwise tepid rendition of No Doubt's "Bathwater."
That, of course, wound up fodder for watercooler discussion on G-rated morning programs and smart-alecky Web sites, stoking suspicion that Malakar was self-consciously manipulating the media to carve a place in "American Idol" history.
Many had predicted that he would make it all the way to May finale. Among Malakar's supporters: radio shock jock Howard Stern and the Web site VotefortheWorst.com, which has long promoted the show's tone-deaf candidates. (Previous targets include surly Scott Savol and sweet-natured Kevin Covais. Cult superstar William Hung never even made it to Hollywood.)

Anyhow, I was jumpin for joy that Sanjaya was voted off. I did felt bad though when he started crying. He is only 17 and sometimes I forget that. I know if I had to do what he did at that age man, I don't think I could have handled myself as well as he did. I stick by my original picks of Jordin and Blake. Yeah Jordin didn't have a great night with Gwen Stefani but it was a hard song, and it's not like her vocals sounded bad it just wasn't good. Everybody has bad nights, so I choose to forget that week with her! :) Chris has grown on me, but he really doesn't remind me of JT. The only resemblance I have ever noticed is Chris kinda sounds like JT's falsetto voice. Peronally Blake reminds me more of JT based on FutureSex/LoveSounds. Jeni, I think you pretty muched summed them all up..When we watchd Matina McBrides performance after words shawn said to me none of those contestants could do that. He's right..I'm just not impressed. Perhaps at the begining of the season they leave less tone deaf people audition and more people with TALENT infront of Paula, Simon, and Randy we'll actually have a good competition on our hands!!

For the most part, I wasn't really impressed with any of them except Blake. I didn't understand what Randy was saying about Blake's performance because you can't really do much with that song. That song is just all about the lyrics and nothing else....but I think if Lakisha would have chosen that song she would have butchered it and made John Lennon turn over in his grave because she would have probably tried to make it gospel...like every other song she sings.

Though I love Blake and hope he doesn't go this week, I didn't love his performances last night. But I can't deny his uniqueness and I don't think he's done showing the world what he can do. He has a knack for taking older songs and making them new. He may not have the greatest vocals, but you can't say there isn't talent -whether you care for his brand of talent or not.

I'd like to see Jordin win it all - because I think she's the most marketable. And I don't want to see Blake actually win because he would be under AI scrutiny and not have much "artistic freedom", if you know what I mean. The thing that has been bugging me is the judges wil say one thing one night and then contrdict themselves later on. They told Blake not too long ago that the beat boxing was his thing and he should stick with it. Then they come out and say he is doing it too much. That is just one example of how they keep changing their way of thinking. They are bugging me more then the singers.

I like them both equally and it doesn't really matter to me who wins, I just would hate to see Blake not have an outlet for what he's so good at.

i agree that the winner usually loses out on not having artistic freedom..

jordan is more the american idol type- doesnt need as much dreedom..

i love blake.. melinda was on my last nerve, and jordan has the best voice..

I am just as excited that Jordan and Blake are the last 2. I so watned Melinda gone. My husband wants Blake to win but I want Jordan to win. I like Blake but his music is not something I would be linstening to but I can see myself listening to Jordan. I really hope she wins it. Of every one on the show she has had to endure 3 horus of shcooling on top of every thign else they do and she is making A's and B's. I think she deserves this.

Jordan was so much better. I am not just saying that becaue I want her to win either. we didn't vote in my house last night because my husband and I would have voted differently and it wouldnt have made any since. I felt going into last night that it was going be a close run. But I htink Jordan did a much better job. It was very different them doing the same song.

I think Blake did better on one of the other songs but with the producer's song that they start their first record with Jordan blew the house down. Last night I voted for Jordan. But, FH wanted me to vote for Blake..I was able to constantly get through to him as to Jordan's line was always busy!!

My husband and I was talking about how the guy who sang the song last year when they got kicked off sang on the last show. We were wondering if Chris was going to be there this year as it is his song they use. HE was on at the end last night. You would think he would have been on tonights but I guess we will have to wait and see. It is 2 hours tonight. I have to wait for Nihcolas to get home before I can start watching it lol. He tried to get out to be here by 8 but that didn't happen. He should be on his way home right now. We have a DVR so we just watch it and fast forward the comercials.

It was a very good finale show. They had 4 of the past 5 winners there sining. I wont spoil who won incase some one has not seen it yet ( as I did once before, sorry ). It was a good 2 hours. Now onto So you Think You can Dance. Any one else watch that one too?
