Has anybody every made their own "kissing ball"? I think I am going to have all my girls carry this but I want to do it myself. Any suggestions or places to look for instructions?

I made these for table decorations once for an event that I catered. We just got floral balls from a craft store and bought a lot of cheap daisies. We took each off of the stem and kind of skewered them onto the ball with a pearl tip needle. It was a few years ago and that's all that I remember! Good luck! They are extremely easy to make.

Never made one but I thought this was interesting if you plan to use fresh flowers & greenery -

HOW TO MAKE A KISSING BALL
Kissing balls are often made of short sprigs of
boxwood or other greenery and hung as an
alternative to the traditional mistletoe sprig.

The easiest way to construct a kissing ball is to use
a round potato for the base. The moisture in the
potato will help keep the cut greenery fresh. Soak
greenery to be used in water overnight. Insert
evenly sized sprigs of the selected green into the
potato until it is completely covered. If you have
difficulty inserting the sprigs, make a starter hole
for each with a metal skewer. Make the evergreen
sprays form an even, well-rounded ball. After the
ball is completed, decorate it with ribbons, berries,
mistletoe or whatever else you wish. Then fasten
a long piece of wire to the ball so it can be hung
from a chandelier, doorway, or window.

Here are instructions to make a ribbon rose kissing ball -

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I worked on a sample one today and Im happy with the way it turned out. Now that I have a sample I plan to go searching for the perfect flowers for my girls kissing balls! I also found monogram charms that I am going to clip to the bottom of the ribbon loop.

Thanks again!!

Also, I thought I would share these semi diy projects. I bought a super cheap toasting flute set and serving set and added some embellishments. I have really liked all my DIY projects so far but I am so afraid that I am the only one and that everyone else will think they are hideous!! haha

Kissing balls can be hung for decoration. I have also seen BMs or FGs carrying them instead of a bouquet.
