EEEEEEEK There's this wicked bad snowstorm happening here but I just started this new job so I didn't want to be the ONLY one not to show up...so I trek it ALLLLL the way up the escarpment in this terrrible storm..slide through two stop signs and a stop light to arrive and have the secretary say,
"Why are you here? Didn't you get my messsage to work from home? Oh maybe I didn't even call you..sorry"

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH It's my own stupid fault cause I should have used my common sense but frustrating all the same!

How many cms (or inches) have fallen? It's headed our way and I am wondering if I will make it into work tomorrow. Last big storm we had ... it took me over an hour and a half to travel what would normally take me just 20 minutes.

That's a cold response. Oh well, next time just call ahead and I am glad you made it back safe.

that was so rude of her to say! I would be pretty upset if it were me..of course we all know it's not, because I'm here now...(I don't have the internet at home)!!! This really sucks! I do not want to be here today at all! :worry:

So far...about half a foot. I had to really dig my car out of the snow and I went into the house to get a pair of pants to change into when I got to work since I was soaked..when I got out I had to brush off the car again!

It's coming fast...my drive is usually about 20mins as well and it took me about 50..when I got there they suggested I take some work home because it's supposed to be even worse tomorrow :bbcry:

Thanks for everyone's responses about me being safe! I really appreciate them..

Oh that totally sucks!

I feel that is going to happen to me tomorrow. We're supposed to get as much as 10 in by tomorrow morning and I have to go to a training class that's about an hour away WITHOUT the snow. I'm hoping they just cancel but my luck I will show up and they say the same thing.

At least you made it there safely!
Dontcha just LOVE winter???

We were supposed to have 2 - 4 inches and ended up with about 12 inches. The wind blew some, but not bad, so it didn't stick to the hiway. Today the sun is shining, but it is very cold, below 0 last I heard.

I work for the state of Missouri, in a license office, and their rule on if we can be closed tomorrow is only if 1) The courthouse is closed 2) Local police tell people to stay off the road 3) The power is out or 4) The building might collapse.
When I looked outside I thought that there was no way I am going to go to work in that weather. They wont be paying to fix my car if I slide off in a ditch...Oh, well.
