Ultimate Proposal

Robert and I met in High School. I was a sophomore and he was a junior. Despite having many friends in common it took the efforts of a few of these good friends to get us together. On November 8, 1995, we began dating. Our relationship grew through high school, through the long distance relationship for the three years that I was at Washington University in St. Louis and continued to grow after college.

In September 2004, we bought a townhouse in Pembroke Pines, FL. We have been living together and loving it ever since, most recently adding Blanca, a Maltese, to our family in December 2005. After all that time, of course Robert's proposal was perfect!

On September 13, 2006, some friends had "invited" us to dinner at Nobu, an exclusive Japanese Restaurant at the Shore Club hotel on South Beach. Dinner was amazing! After dinner, one of our friends suggested a walk on the beach, and who would turn that down?! As we came outside, I noticed what looked like a bonfire in the distance close to the water. "I thought you'd get fined for building bonfires out here," I mentioned to Robert, who said nothing and continued walking closer to it. As we came upon the "bonfire" I was amazed to see it was a huge sandcastle that was lit up with oil lamps. Robert of course "runs into" someone he knows, introduces me and we continue getting closer to the castle. Then I was able to read it--there in big letters on the bottom of the castle was "CAROLINA, will you marry me?” It took a second for this to register and once it did, overjoyed, I hugged Robert, who promptly advised,” wait, I have to get down on one knee.” Of course I said yes and our closest friends were there to share in the special moment.

We toasted to a beautiful night, a perfect (and overdue) proposal, and a wonderful life ahead of us! We are currently planning our wedding and signed up for a wedding giveaway where we were chosen as one of the top 10 finalist out of 9,000 couples based on our wedding proposal. We just found out today that we are in the top ten and the drawing is on Valentines Day. If you would like to vote for us please visit: bodaclickusa. com and click on "Wedding Giveaway Finalist and click on "Carolina and Robert" then click on "Click here to vote for this couple" that’s it. No need for any other information or email addresses just to click on the “vote for us” link. We did not expect to make it this far in the giveaway but now that we have a chance to win we are trying our best. Please help if possible. Thank you!
