I just heard about this today.... I am a little shocked about it all!

I am still in disbelife that she is no longer in jail. She and her ex husband brutally killed 2 girls. Now she's out of jail.

It's harsh. We lived in Ontario when all this was going down. Infact my grandparents live quite close to where the girls were going missing from and my fam wouldn' let me go outside by myself. It's so sad, but some part of me wonders what if Karla was a (kind of) victim in this too. I wish this kind of thing never happened in this world.

Did you know they released a movie once about the whole thing, but it was never released in Canada as far as I know. I'm just happy they didn't release Paul Bernardo!!!!:worry:

I agree with you too, Jenn. This is shocking. They found videotapes that determined that she was an active participant in the murders. What gets me is that she also helped her husband kill her own sister. I think it's despicable that she's out of prison, and able to live her life free. And I believe she has absolutely no business being a mother. Unbelievable! :worry:

I watched a 48 hours special about them not to long ago. I am sorry but when they found those video tapes of her dressed up in her sisters clothes after she was killed and all the other evidence that they got on her after they made a deal should of been void all agreements should of been dropped and she should of got them same penalty her husband did, she was no victim like she says she was.

It was her sister that had the baby. As I heard it ... apparently her dad, mentioned that his daughter had a baby, then this person leaked it to the press. The person didn't know she had a sister and so they told the press that it was Karla.

Karla is in Montreal but St. Mary's & the other hospitals in the area, have denied that she (or Leanne Teale) was ever admitted or gave birth.

Well I'm very happy to know that she didn't give birth to another human being!!!!!
Being first of all Canadian I know the whole story, working int he Criminal Justice field primarily when I started out with sex offenders I've even seen some of the videos as we needed to watch them in one of my classes. I've never seen anything like this in my life.
Her ex Paul Brenardo grew up around the corner from my childhood house. The whole thing to this day still gets under my skin and makes me insanly mad!
I'm just very thankful there there won't be a baby growing up having to live the life as "Karla's baby" because god knows that they wouldn't be given a far chance anyway.

I too live in Ontario, and remember this. If this story is true, I can't believe that ANYONE would want to impregnate her. Her and Paul Bernardo are sick. Just sick. I agree with (jeni740), all bets should have been off, and she should have received the same penalty as her husband. This was all pre-meditated (sp.) I can't imagine how her parents would have even begun to forgive or heal?

I agree she should be serving a life sentence right next to Paul Bernardo, I'd like to suggest that we should all ignore that she even exists but I'd be afraid to offend again just to get back on the news :(

The whole thing makes me so sad and angry all at the same time...let's just hope so doesn't raise her new baby boy to be an even sex offender that herself and Paul Bernardo.

If this is true, it's going to be tough for this child!! A child who did not ask to be born into this world. I still wonder about circumstances rregarding to what happened in the first place but I am not saying she shouldn't still be behind bars, because she should. I hope for her son's sake that people are not cruel to him, it is not his fault that his mother is a sick woman!! I hope for the very best for this child only. :(

I haven't ever heard of this lady or her husband, but I am disgusted with both of their behaviors. That is so terrible, and then for her to say that nurses wouldn't give her treatment for her pregnancy....what a joke!
They sound liek SICK people...BTW if she was in prison, how did she end up getting pregnant?? I mean is it her husbands?? :snide:

It was one of the most grotesque murder cases to happen in Canada...these poor young girls bodies were found and there were no clues, everyone was terrified. I remember being a little girl and having my mom set some strict rules for me and my sisters.

Basically what happened is that when Karla and her then husband Paul Bernardo were caught she used "battered woman's syndrom" and claimed that he was so abusive he forced her to assist in the sexual assaults, murders and cover ups of these young 14-15 year old girls. In exchange for testimony against him she was given a deal and only went to jail for manslaughter of 2 of the 3 girls who were murdered.

She divorced the first husband and while in jail met another sex offender who she began dating...she was released last year after 12 years and the stipulations of this bail were that she couldn't associate with anyone on the registered sex offender list...so no one really knows who this babies dad is..

I heard that she's planning a destination wedding though and is just waiting on her babies passport to arrive

Sorry that was so long, I jsut wanted to give some background to the ladies who hadn't heard about this...

PS I just thought...if she's planning a wedding how unbelievable would it be if she was a MEMBER on here! :worry:

This is the same story where she let her husband rape her sister as a Christmas present right? Then he killed her. Is this also the same one where he chopped up the one body and put her in cement blocks, and her legs and face were showing through the cement?

Yes I believe this would be the same story. I remember something about cement blocks and Kristen French. She was found in a canal I believe, some place where my dad used to fish as a kid and teenager. It was a horriable thing.

Her sister choked to death on her own vomit if I remember correctly so Karla and Paul weren't really directly involved in her death except for the fact that they plied her with alcohol to the point where she vomited. (which is terriable enough for me to think they should have been held responsible which I think they were.) But I could be wrong.

I found this, I remember watching a show not too long ago on this woman, and they showed her sisters autopsy picture where the stomach acid had burned her own face it was pretty graphic, "Karla worked in a veterinary clinic so she had a rudimentary knowledge of sedatives used for animals. The trick was figuring out what and how much to use to knock out Tammy so that Paul could rape her. Eventually, she decided on using halothane, an anesthetic which animals inhale before surgery."
