Hey all,
My name is Holly... I'm 22, from Michigan, and looking forward to spending the rest of my life with a most wonderful guy named Steve (Hollysmedic on this board), his daughter Lydia, and parrot named Alex. I'm a senior in college working towards a double major in English (creative writing) and art with a minor in Spanish. We're getting married on December 20, 2008.:grinhappy: :D

Welcome!!! We're glad to have you here!!! My wedding was also in December, but just this past year. It's a wonderful time to have a wedding, but I guess I'm biased! Congratulations.

We're not actually "officially" engaged yet! :D But that hasn't stopped us from starting to plan..... ;)

Well you can still plan without the ring. I still wish you all the best. You have a wedding day planned so that in my mind is a engagement :p. The ring can follow later.

I'm in the Tri-City/Saginaw area Sara:grinhappy:
And yep, we just sort of started planning it, so half the time i don't know whether or not to say we're engaged when people ask... i just usually look at them kinda carefully and say "we're not engaged, but we're getting married."
and then shoot i just think to myself about how Loretta Lynn and her husband didn't even have rings when they got married. She didn't get her wedding ring til years later... we'll at least have that:eureka: :D

We were the same boat for 4 years (it took that long to get all the paperwork in order just so that we could get married). Heck, I even bought my dress even before he had officially proposed. Everyone knew we were getting married, they were just waiting to hear "when".

That is awesome!!:o Yay for the two of you! I really don't mind waiting. I'm just happy we're in each other's lives. I figure that's the important thing.
