Here's my save the dates. You can't see the Gold at the bottom and the picture quality isn't the best; but here you go!http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p59/shawnsgirl9107/2005_1005home0048.jpg

It looks really nice, Jonelle! I like the print, and the colors are nice as well. I'm sure the gold is a great accent on the bottom! Nice job!

Pretty much they are pre-invitations that let people know far in advance when your wedding is so they don't plan any vacations or anything around that day. Also it is a way of simply letting people that you are going to invite to the wedding know that you have gotten engaged.

Nope they aren't mandatory. The only reason why we're sending them out is my FH's family all lives in New Jersey which is about 4 hours away, plus we are getting married on a holiday weekend. This gives his family and our friends plenty of advance notice when we are having the wedding!!

I didn't do any save the dates either, but if I had to change anything about the wedding, that would definitely be one of them. We had so many RSVP then NOT show up, like how RUDE:censored:
Great job....they turned out beautifully!I wish I was that creative.

I am far from crafty and DIY??? I stink at it...However, all I did was pruchase software called printing press platinue where you can choose your fonts, colors, size, etc. It was really easy. I bought two colors of card stock and went to town.
Here's how I made them:
I printed on one sheet of cream card stock 4 of the save the dates. After printing I cut them out to size. Then I took one of the burgondy and with a square ruler size out how big I wanted the burgondy to be.
I purchased a gold ink pad and stamp, and scrapbooking cornings to help mount the cream card stock.
Then after cutting all to size all I did was glue with a glue stick the white onto the burgondy, put the corners on and added the stamp. They were pretty easy to do! If I had to do it again I probably woud have just purchased the magnets or something it would have been a lot less work! I am still trying to find envelops so I can get them in the mail. I'm headed to AC moore today to see what I can find!
