What do you think ... is this a real bridal meltdown or is she wearing a wig and this video has been staged?

If it's real ... what the heck are her BM's laughing about???

It's a terrible connection. I don't know if it's the site or my computer, but it kept stopping to buffer the video and I still can't get it to play the last 5 seconds. I usually don't have any problems with online videos.

Yeah, I would say it's fake.. You are right.. why would they be laughing if it were real?

I found a better version at YouTube and edited the original post.

It played okay the second time through, I don't know what the problem was.

Anyway, I am going to have to guess, staged. On top of the laughing, who in the world would continue taping? It is pretty low quality for a professional videographer and would the videographer really follow her into that tiny bathroom?

We didn't have a videographer, but our photog ceased taking pics when I freaked out about running late. There isn't one pic of my "drama."

But on the other side of the coin, there are some really weird people out there, so I guess it is possibly real, but I would say very unlikely.

hmmm.. I am not sure if that is real or fake. .Real it is kinda scary and fake there are way to many people out there with to much time on their hands!!!

This could possible be real.. IMO

NOTE: I have the volume off because I am at work

But from the look of it she is hitting her friend and I wouldnt do that even joking around. They might be laughing becausse it is funny to see her wig out like that. She might be that kind of bride that wigs out with everything so they are use to it and got a giggle from it.

I've actually seen something similar to this and the brides maids were laughing there butts off.

I think the video camera is prolly a friend all young and immature so I wouldnt doubt it was fake.

I hope it is fake. I think who ever is runnign the camera is oen of the brides maids. I would problably laugh is I saw a person freakign out like she did. I mean that was a little extreme. And yes there are some strange people out there and if this is real I feel sorry for the guy she is marrying.

Not sure it was meant to appear as if it was a pro video ... I took it as one of the BM's just videotaping what is going on before the bride got back.

With that said, do you think any bride would leave the salon looking like that and if she did, I can't fathom what would instigate her to hack off her hair. Yeah, like that was going to make it look better!

If it is real ... I think the groom should have been warned and given a very very fast getaway car!

I'll vote fake. If you were really that upset, you'd insist that the video taping end.

What I meant by the filming comment was: if it were my sister or best friend and I was the one filming her getting ready, I am pretty sure I would at least set the camera down and try to calm her down. Only a pro would have been impartial and only there to perform his/her job no matter what happened and given the quality, it probably was not a pro. I would even venture to guess that most pros would probably stop filming during a crisis like that.

I thought of the salon thing, but then I thought some people may elect to do their own hair. After all, I did my own makeup.

Fake in my opinion. No girl would chop her hair off like that on her wedding day.

LMAO that is so funny. I believe that it is fake, no tears did I see in her eyes. I have met people that were drama queens but never someone to hack off their hair b/c it looked like ****. Esp. on their wedding day. LOL I think that is why the BM's were laughing. so hard it was hard for them to contain themselves I would of been doing the same thing.

Yeah I had figured as much that it was fake, some good acting on the bridesmaids at the beginning but once the bride comes in, it just becomes so fake from there on out!

Our national news just aired a piece on the video - http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20070201/You_tube_folo_070201/20070201?hub=TopStories

The girls who appear in the video are on their way to appear on Good Morning America tomorrow (as Gwen already noted).

22-year-old Ryerson student Jodi Behan is seen during a fake freak out as seen in this video posted on YouTube.
YouTube bride video has hair company roots

It appears a popular YouTube video of a screaming bride-to-be with a bad haircut was actually spearheaded by a major hair product company.

Sunsilk Canada revealed Thursday that a video clip seen so far by more than 2 million people on the popular video portal YouTube was an "initiative" by the hair product company.

"We understand very much that women have these moments with their hair, and some of them end up in what we're calling 'wig-outs,'" spokesperson Geoff Craig told CTV News.

He added that "it was certainly never our intent to do anything other than provide a dramatization of one of these moments from the get-go."

There had been widespread debate about the authenticity of the clip, titled Bride Has Massive Hair Wig Out.

As it airs on YouTube, the video appears to be an amateur recording of a young woman frantically chopping her hair off during a meltdown an hour before her wedding. It's not obvious that the video is a dramatization, nor that it's affiliated with any organization.

It was revealed earlier Thursday that the video, which even made it Wednesday onto NBC's The Today Show, was indeed fiction.

However, the 22-year-old aspiring actress, whose real name is Jodi Behan, really did cut her hair in the video filmed by Toronto-based Ryerson University grad Ingrid Hass.

And on Thursday night, the girls in the video are expected to make an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

"I cannot believe all this," Behan wrote in an email to the Toronto Star. "It's embarrassing and exciting and overwhelming."

In the six-minute clip, Behan enters a hotel room filled with bridesmaids and complains of her bad haircut.

Then, in a burst of anger, her character, also named Jodi, takes a pair of scissors and begins furiously cutting off her hair -- repeatedly telling the camera operator to stop filming.

Bridesmaid Jessie, also her actual name, is Jodi's real sister.

"They're characters, I'll give you that," the girls' mother told the Star.

"They're great girls. But I'm not going to say any more. This is their thing."

Haas, a local performance artist, came up with the idea as a way to gain notoriety on YouTube.

"I would love to tell you all about it. I will have to hold off," Haas told the Star, without elaborating.

When asked if he thought the video was real, Toronto film director Norman Jewison told the newspaper on Wednesday that he suspected the video was staged. But he said he'd give her a job in an instant.

"Wouldn't you hire her as an actress? I sure would," Jewison said. "If she's not one, then maybe she should become one. It's hysterical."
