Have any of you given any thought to what you are going to give your FH/DH for Valentine's Day? I want to do something nice for Justin, but still small because his b-day is in March. Then I want to do something big for him since I have not been able to do much this past year with the wedding and all.

Valentine's Day is the bane of my Pat's existence. Mainly because it's also his birthday (and yes, his grandmother did very sincerely want to name him Valentino. Oh, lord. I would die.). Thus, he has vehemently protested any efforts of me trying to take him out to a nice dinner or something. However, I did talk him into letting me take him to dinner and a movie on the solemn agreement that I don't mention the V-word at any point during the evening. *laughs*

We don't do much of anything for V-Day. DH's birthday is Feb 23rd and I still have to come up with a gift idea for that!

We're not doing much this year for VDay, cause we're planning a trip to San Fran in Feb, a trip to Tennessee in April, and a trip to India in August. Saving money is a big thing right now! LOL... Therefore, I'll probably just get him a card and a flower or something... nothing major.

Both Mark and i have to work on Valentines Day. We are going to Sault Ste. Marie on the 16th for the weekend (cousins wedding) so we will maybe do somthing special then. But probably not much cause we're trying to save our money right now.

I was thinking maybe I'll buy him some cologne that I really like. Hehehe. That would actually be something for me more than him though!

Since the wedding is on the 17th, I don't think we'll do anything for V-Day. Probably cards, but that's it. I've never been a fan of V-Day anyways. Actually, we might be working on tying tags to evergreen trees that evening - how romantic! hahahaha

We're are actually house sitting for Valentine's Day this year. Things have really been crouded here at home, and lacking privacy. Therefore we'e going to make this Valentine's Day oen to remember!!! I'm not sure what we're goign to do yet though. We always get something small for one another. Never anything gigantic or over priced. I work till 4pm and Kevin doesn't get home till 530 at the earliest so I'll be the first one home. I'm going to make a nice omantic dinner with the candles and so on.
We have never spend a "real" Valentine's night together. Last year Kevin had his daughter so we just opted to not do dinner or anything. He did however suprise me...
I didn't work that day but I had a staff meeting at 4pm. It was 11am and I had just gotten out fo the shower. I had my robe on and I heard a knock at the door. I asked my Mom to get it for me, and she was very snippy about me gettign it. It kind of made me mad cause i barely had any clothes on. So I went down stairs in a bit of a huff and opened the door. All I saw was a gigantic bouquet of lillies, and a little bit of Kev's hari behind it. It was so sweet I started to cry!!! Then he made me go and get dressed in a hurry and he took me out for lunch. It was a happy day, but I'm going to out do him this year!

Joe usually is the one that makes these types of events romantic. I could never outdo him. LOL! I will probably just get him a card, and I'm excited cause it's our first V-day as a married couple, so I can finally get hima sappy card. LOL!

Alex and I don't really exchange presents for Valentines Day. Usually Alex will get me a potted plant of tulips, but other than that we don't exchange presents....because we both find it kind of a dumb holiday. We just usually go out to dinner...but this year I might make a fancy dinner at home that weekend....I don't know.

Eric and I have bought a home and we are waiting on the bank to close so that we can begin remodeling...we have some new furniture and appliances that we are going to buy so this year we will probably just do cards and a nice dinner.

Unfortunately, because of our schedules, we don't have any days off together. And since Steve's hours have been cut we are tight on money. So it will probably just be a nice dinner, a card, and a small present.
