It's the Subway 500, in Phx. I went to one in Nov of 2005, and it was a blast. This one will be a night race. I can't wait!!!

I'll be definatly watching it from home so I will keep an eye out for you!! Don't forget to take tons of pics and if by the slightest chance you run into dale jr..well, tell him Jonelle says hello!!
Ok I'm being silly now but I am suffering from Nascar withdrawl and I can't wait for Daytona!! More importantly I can't wait to use these tickets!!!
My ultimate dream race to go to is Talladega!!! I want to go there something fierce...

Yes he is..If it weren't for shawn I'd still be holding out to marry JR...Okay not a chance of that happening but he is the man thats for sure!!
I'll post a picture of the banner FH made when he proposed to me at the richmond race and post it tonight!! It's pretty cool!

We are huge Nascar fans, we went to Martinsville a couple years back it was great even though Jeff Gordon won :(

Okay, I gotta get in on this one! Dale Sr was THE MAN, Dale Jr...needs to step up to the plate...evidently he and stepmom aren't seeing eye to eye because she feels he isn't giving it his all...
I love them both...I am a huge Big E and Lil E fan. Jeff Gordon is *&^%$! I so can't stand the rainbow warrior (sorry 24 fans)!

Yeah you are right Dale Sr. is the man!! I can't agree with Teresa (Step mom) though. Dale jr can be a jerk sometimes but he can't be expected and compared to his dad. No one will ever be as good as Dale Sr. and I think dale jr is constantly being compared to him and that's unfair. Dale jr eats, drinks, breaths racing he's definatly giving it his all. It's the equipment he's supplied that's the biggest problem. He had the chance to win a lot more races if it weren't for break's failing, crew screwing up, etc. that cost him a lot in past couple of years..I won't say he's perfect cause he's not but he needs some better cars out on the track and he'd win more races!!!

I actually went to Talladega like 3 years ago with an ex of mine! It was FANTASTIC!!!
(SORRY TO BRAG!)
All the pic's I had are now destroyed, but it was the best weekend of my life. My personal favorite is D.J.

OKAY!! THIS IS MY THREAD ANS THERE IS WAY TOO MUCH TALK OF JR!!! He's just riding on daddy's tail pipe!! Sorry, I don't like Jr. I don't like Gordon for that matter either.
To be honest, I dont' have a personal fav, but Josh is a HUGE Kenseth fan, so I root for him alot.

I've never been to a NASCAR event, but I went to the Bears-Seahawks NFL playoff game last Sunday. The crowd was great and the Bears finally won in overtime. Now THAT was a blast!

I haven't been to an NFL game, but I have been to baseball games. Thier crowd is nothing compared to a Nascar crowd.

I married a southern man so needless to say he is a HUGE Nascar fan. We have # 8 and # 3 all over the house. We have a race track about 20 misn form us that he has not been to yet. I think he has been to eveyr other race track in the country just about though.
I am not a race fan, but DH wants me to go to a race with him one day. Money is not something we come by easy these days so I dont see it happening any time soon.
From what I hear from DH Jr's step mom is telling him he needs to figure out if he wants to be a car racer or a popularity item. I am sorry but it is not his fault that every one makes such a big deal out of every thing he does. He might as well enjoy it. ANd I beleive his contract is coming due and he may be racing for some one else soon. He may be #8 any more and I beelive he may be taking #3 ( his daddy's # ) there is only one person who has the rights to take thtat number out of retirement ( or what ever it is under ) and if Jr races for him he will get that number.
I got all that form DH last night as he was checking out his Nascar page as he does every single night when he gets home from work lol.

Yeah, Josh was just telling me that someone, can't remember the name, has offered him to drive under them (the nameless man) and they will give him #3. I personally, don't feel that anyone should be able to use it. I think they should leave it as is in rememberance of Sr. But, I don't think I have much of a say in the matter.

Oh congrats heather on getting the tickets. I am behind and just trying to catch up on here. We also ordered our Talladega tickets a few weeks ago for the October races again. As everyone probably already knows I am a huge Dale jr. fan. Also of course loved dale sr. DH loves em all except Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon. We don't like the whiners. haha

Sorry Heather, I got the JR/SR thing going...I agree with you, he's on dad's tailpipe and no he shouldn't be allowed to race under #3 (I did not know that)~!
I like Jr alright but I think it's mostly cuz he's Big E's son! We watched the CMT special this weekend 40 Greatest Nascar Moments...it was pretty awesome!
Congrats on the tickets! Have a blast!
