We have had this warm weather and now all of a sudden it's gettin normal?? Still not even a coating of snow up here!!

It is really cold for us here now. The temps are down at night into the teen digits lately. I hate cold weather with a passion too. I chalk the weather strangeness up to global warming and the polar ice cap. I think it will continually be changing from year to year till our spring winds up in the summer months and so on.

That was what it was here today (with wind chill factors making it feel like (-22F). I couldn't get into my car this morning because the door locks were frozen solid. Thank goodness we have an outdoor plug and a hair dryer that travels LOL
They were cautioning people to take it easy on the road because at these temps, even our snow tires are as hard as hockey pucks and do not grip the road.
It's already warming up ..... and we are looking forward to it being a balmy -8C (17F) tomorrow.

Our weather has been pretty wacky. Typically our winters average highs in the 50s with a few cold fronts here and there. We just had a big one though. Today we warmed up to 38. The last few days have been freezing and below. Tomorrow we are supposed to warm up to the 40s though and then be in the 50s through the weekend.

I'm in eastern Iowa, and it's been well below zero (5-10 below) here the past two mornings. I've got a massive icicle hanging from my car's rear-view mirror lol.
But around here, that's not really exceptional. There are spells like this every winter, it seems.
According to weather.com, the next ten days it's not supposed to be quite as cold, but it will inch above freezing only once or twice.

Yeah this winter has been really weird....Alex and I were watching the weather channel and saw that they were getting ice storms in California...and I'm like "Aren't we worried about global warming...or did that change?" LOL!

I can join in in saying the weather has for sure been strange this winter. I live in New Hampshire and we just now got our winter. It has been in the 60's for the most part of the last couple of months. Then over the weekend we got snow and ice and it was -2 when I took the kids to school yesterday. I am used to mound and mound of snow by now. And it seems a little warmer when there is snow on the ground. My kids have been waiting for snow but now that we have it is is covered by a layer of ice so it is not like they can go play. Just as long as it is gone by mid spring I will be ok.
