My advice would be to really start looking for a photographer and florist as soon as possible. I know that several photographers I talked to were already booking for 2007. So you really need to get on the ball with that. Also florists, especially in deamnd ones, book up really fast. After you get those two things done everything else is easy.

Also, get out there and start looking for a wedding dress! Make sure you tell the person helping you about your time frame. Most designers can get a dress done on a short notice, but some can't. There is no point of trying on and falling in love with a dress that you can't have because it won't be ready in time. I know that I ordered my dress in March and it won't even ship until February.

Your venue should be able to help you find a dj. They will have a list of people that they prefer to work with. I would just go from there and see who is open. Then find the person who fits your style the best.

Do you have your invitations? Those usually need to go out 6 weeks in advance. So you need to get those out around the New Year. Those you can get online and they tend to ship relatively fast. Things like favors can wait until last minute. You could even just give out some candy wrapped in pretty tulle and ribbon.

Yeah, you need to get on the ball!!

Centerpeices can be as simple as a candle sitting on top of a mirror.

I agree with Lacey, though. You need to get your other vendors PRONTO!

And, with the dress, see if you can buy the display/sample, get it altered, and be ready to go. Bridesmaids dresses as well.

The favors just depend on your budget. You could do candy, bubbles, candles, really anything. I'm doing little jars of honey. Perhaps the most simple thing is to make a donation to a favorite charity on behalf of your guests, and leave a little card at each place that says that.

Get crackin'! I have a few centerpeice ideas on my wedding site:

I went to a wedding that was planned in 6 weeks and it honestly was the best I had ever been to, but it was not what most of us think as traditional. The bride found an off the rack dress, had the ceremony in her candlelit home led by thier retired Priest, and just family. with a really nice dinner in a private room at a restaurant. Then dancing at a nightspot that already had a german polka band. It was great and I loved that it was unique and very intimate. She had a florist and friends (who knew photography) did the pictures for her. So,to get to the point, it can be done if you are flexible and creative.
Favors? Some of the last few weddings I went to didn't have them. One, just did hershey's kisses in tulle. We are thinking of doing a donation to a charity/scholorship fund, or little pots of flowers that can double as favors. Have fun!
