Hi everyone! I am a 22 year old gal from Australia and I just got enagaged and need your help.

My financee and I are having a beach wedding and I am wondering how other people have managed music at beach weddings? What sort of equipment did you use? Did you have acoustic band or generators or what? We have a low budget :o)

In your case I think I'd find someone who plays a mean guitar and have them play a nice soft music for you. Trying to use a sound system might not provide the best sound and such. Good luck.

hello. i'm also having a beach wedding. my venue said most people either use guitarists with amps or just have their dj play the ceremony as well (with their sound system). that's what i'm doing. it cost an extra $200 for my dj to set up everything outside and play the ceremony. for my area, that's not bad when i was looking at other services. hope that helps. i've also heard people using a steel drum but that's probably pricey.

Welcome to the boards. Did you think about an acoustic guitar?

hello congratulations on your wedding! we were considering using our own music but was advised not to do that because of the noise on the beach. the venue said that those that did that, did not have as good result. so we opted to use our dj and their sound system but many people use guitars as well.

best of luck!

My friends went through the Yellow Pages and called Guitar teachers, they got a fantastic bloke who did it for the price of a 2 hour lesson!. And being a teacher, they knew he was going to be good and he learned their song.
