LOL ... I know how to eat right and exercise too, but I am often not motivated to do it like I should :bbconfused: I am working on that though ... for me my biggest motivator is my health and not wanting to end up like my mother. So I try to keep thinking about that :penguin: Sure I want to get back in shape to look good too ;)
If you had a baby 4 mos ago and weren't very overweight before, I would doubt that you have a thyroid problem. Loosing the baby weight is different for everyone. For some it is easy and for others it is harder and takes more time. A friend of mine took almost a year to loose the 50 lbs she put on with her baby.
So just try to get motivated, find a support partner, talk to your FH and see if he will work with you too.
Good luck :)

While it is better that your support partner want to loose weight too, it doesn't have to be that way. You just need someone to help keep you motivated and the encourage you ... be there for you and not offer you cake ;)
There are groups all over the place you could join too ... maybe even a new mom's weight loss support group of sorts. Or you could put up a flyer at a local park looking for someone.
But it all comes down to doing it for you, support or not, you have to want it bad enough.
LOL, I need to listen to my own advice ;)

Once you really get your mind set to it, it isn't that hard. I know it's difficult to put down that crappy food and pick up a carrot stick, but trust me, once you start to see the scale tip the other way, that motivation will be there. I have been struggling with losing weight for a long time now. Lost some, gained some, back and forth. I have only been at it a week and a half and have lost 4 pounds and almost an inch of my waist. What really helps me is DH. When I want some crappy food he will remind me.. You should ask FH to stop offering you the food. I think it would help.

If you are concerned about a Thyroid problem you should go see you're Doctor. They can also refer you to some great support groups where you can meet other women interested in loosing weight.
My DH sounds alot like your FH. He eats junk food all the time infront of me and it's terrible. I talked to him about it and he's getting better about not eating as much. But he also gets things i don't like so much as well so i'm not interested in them.
Good Luck with loosing the weight. We're here to support you!

When you workout make sure you are working hard enough, your heart rate has to stay very high throughout the duration of the workout. Try for 75% of your maximum heart rate (your max is 220 minus your age). Maybe look around for classes, those keep you motivated and I have found that I work even harder in a class b/c the teacher pushes me more. Also, you will have others around for support and to keep you accountable.
Here is a thread about making very small (non workout related) changes that may help you eat less. http://forums.onewed.com/showthread.php?t=6075
