Hello everyone! I decided to start my journal tonight, and I apologize because it's going to sound a little like my intro! I didnt realize the journals were here until after I posted my little introduction.

Josh and I met January 2003. I took one look at him and just knew that he was going to be mine! We started dating exclusively only a few weeks after we met. We moved in together May 2004, had our first child September 2005 and became engaged December 2006! We are celebrating 4 years on the 24th of this month.

Josh is a middle school Physical Education teacher. He is going to be 27 in June (will be 28 when we marry). Im a Senior at San Francisco State University and will be 26 in March (27 when we marry). Our son turned one in September and is turning into quite a little handful! But he's just adorable so we figure we'll keep him around for awhile! We just love him to pieces!

Our proposal Story (this is what some of you may have already read):

Josh proposed Christmas morning! I was completely surprised, which made the whole thing even more exciting and special! We opened gifts at our place with Jacob before we made the rounds to our parent's homes. After we finished opening all the gifts I started to clean up all the wrapping paper and boxes... Then all the sudden, Josh said, wait, there's one more present... He handed me a jewelry box... I thought he bought me a pair of earrings (I really did). Then when I saw that he was down on one knee, it all started to click... All I could think was, omg, omg, omg.... As I opened the box, he placed Jacob on his knee (awww) and said those 6 little words.... Audra W., will you marry me? I was speachless! After I snapped out of it, all I could say was, omg, yes! yes! of course! Josh's proposal was perfect. It was very intimate, just the way I wanted it. Just him, myself and our child, I couldn't have asked for anything more!

Im already having sooooo much fun thinking about the wedding. So far I have the guest list started (65 people so far), the colors picked out (powder blue and chocolate), BM's and MOH picked and the venue picked. Here is a link for the venue:

I have been going to lunch there with my mom, grandmother(s) and aunt since I was about 12, so it's really neat that I will be getting married there!

Oh, and we already know were we are going for the Honeymoom. FIJI!!!! My parents have a timeshare/condo there, so we are getting hooked up! Oh man, Summer 2008 is going to rock! I'm (FINALLY!) walking/graduating college, getting married and going to Fiji. Does life get anymore exciting?!?!?!

I have been engaged for 17 days and have only been able to wear my ring for 5 of those 17 days! Why, you ask....

Well, The ring was a 1/2 size too small when Josh proposed. So we took it down the next morning to have it re-sized. That was Tuesday December 26th and I didnt get the ring back until Friday the 29th. THEN... yes, there's a THEN! On New Years Eve... my younger brother had a little too much tequlia... Im sure some of you can already tell where this is going... Anyway, we were standing up talking to my mom and Josh with our arms around each other's shoulders when my brother lost his balance (or should I say, stumbled!) and brought me down with him! My left hand was facing a concrete retaining wall... the back of my hand scraped the retaining wall which ment my ring scraped up against the retaining wall as well... :hothead: I was NOT happy! I had just gotten my ring back 2 days before! :( Ugg!!!

The damage wasnt tooooo bad, but I could tell there was a prong out of place a little bit... and the band needed to be polished. So, I had to once again take my ring down to have it fixed (where Josh got my ring is AWESOME, free re-sizing, free cleaning every six months, free maintenance...) I joked around with the jewelers about how they have had my engagement ring longer than I have! It was funny cause it was TRUE!

Well, I get it back today at 6:00pm.... I cant wait to see it again! To wear it! Hopefully this will be my last trip down to The Shane Co. for AWHILE!!!

Oh, and last night I had a dream that I got my ring back and it was in even worse condition than it was when I gave it to them! They had given me the wrong ring back! Ugh! What a nightmare! Im sure I will have plenty more of those thoughout the next 18 months!

Thank you everyone for the compliments on my venue! It just "feels" right! What's funny too, is, the last time all us gals went there for lunch (about 2 years ago) my mom and I were talking about how it would be so neat if I got married there someday! Sure enough.....! :)

The wedding venue is gorgeous!

Congratulations and welcome, 18 months will go by fast. We were that far away last Christmas when we got engaged. Now we're just a little over 5 months away.

I can't wait to see more!

What a great proposal, Congrats on your engagement. Those 18 mo. will literally fly by I know mine did. I will be engaged for a little over 2 years and started right away to get things done. Don't listen to the people that tell you it's to early to plan. Some things you can do now. Other's well it is best to wait. Keep us posted.

Beautiful Venue. Sorry about your ring probs, I had a stone fall out of mine and had to go without it for a week. It does suck. We just got mine insured. You might wanna look into that. Just incase.
