View Full Version : DIY Program help!
hello all. i'm having an outdoor beach wedding ceremony and although it's in may and may not be that hot, i thought these could second as sun shades as well. i thought it was cute to have the program printed on it..
any idea how i could make these myself? they don't look that hard but i'm not entirely that up to my knowledge in craft.
thanks for any suggestions!

I think the fan programs are a nice idea :) Here is one DIY fan project (http://www.weddingclipart.com/guide/wedding-programs/wedding-program-fan.html) I found in a quick web search.
I think someone else did something like this a while back.
:goodluck:
thank you! does anyone know what the thickest card stock is? i figure i'll just print it directly on the card stock and assemble it. that would be the easiest. but i dont' want it to be too flimsy. thank you in advance.

Yeah, not sure about that ... I think they go by weight, like 14 pt is a business card weight card stock. I'd ask someone at a Staples or Office Max or a craft store.

Ya I agree, go to staples. that's what Kev and I did and we had no idea ll teh differernt options that were out there for card stock. Some have textures and so forth. And the weight is all different. Just go in and ask someone, but from my experience ask more then 1 person. I asked a lady in there a bunch of stuff one day and she stood there looking liek she knew what she was talkign about, and apparently had no clue lol.
BTW, your program looks fabulous!!!! I really like the idea!

The weight of paper & card stock goes by pounds. Regular paper is usually 20 lbs. While a good cover stock is 67 lbs, it may not be sturdy enough for this type of project. A 110 lb card stock would be a better choice.
