First thing is first....congrats and welcome! The girls here are wonderful!!!

Second thing. RELAX! You have plenty of time to get things just right. I have been having problems like you with making decisions, because they seem like such big decisions that you will only make once in your lifetime (hopefully). The main thing to do is realize that you are marring the "love of your life!"

Next, I would look through tons of magazines and online websites to help you decide on your colors and other important decisions. Do you know where you are having the wedding? What colors would look good there? What is you and your fiance's favorite colors? What season of the year do you like? What is your favorite shirt/food/painting. All of those things can help you figure out what color you want to choose. You don't have to choose just one color either. Have three or four!

Just remember...the wedding will be perfect because of what the wedding is about...marring your love! Good luck and you have my best!

First welcome!!
Second, we share our wedding date :) there are a few others on the boards who share the date as well.

Third just like Chelsea pointed out, relax. Did you just get engaged?

As for bridesmaid colors, maybe you could pick up a packet from somewhere like David's Bridal, when I went there they had a packet that had a lot of different colors in there so I could see what I liked. Just browse around. If all else fails and you can't decide go with a theme... then go from there. You have a decent amount of time, yeah it isn't long... 4 months woo hoo.... but depending on where you live it could be plenty of time!

feel free to PM me at any time if you get stressed, since our weddings are together :)

Also the girls here are simply AMAZING, they are great help with everything, ask and you will get a great answer :)

Welcome to the boards!!
And as the other girls said RELAX!!!!!!!! Just breath!lol
Get a piece of paper and write down what you do know... For example, you know that your wedding is in May, therefoer it'll be spring weather. Also write down what you DON'T want. This I found helped me eliminate a bunch of stuff and I had a small panel to look from.
I think you'll like it here and you'll get a little more relaxed and confident in soem ideas. Take a look around on this site and I'm sure you'll see some stuff that will inspire you.
Having a nervous breakdown my dear will not make a perfect wedding! lol
Jot down a whoel bunch of ideas. Then you can look at it all and see what stands out, or even then you'll have something to talk to your BM's about and they can throw a few ideas at you. Your not a lone in plannign a wedding so don't feel like your heads goign to blow off.
Welcome again!!!!!!!!! :)

i also share your wedding date (along with maybride) so congratulations!! things will fall into place. it wouldn't hurt to go to a davids bridal to get a look at some of their dresses and colors. also pick up some magazines, they have tons of different styles/colors. i went to a lot of the websites and my colors sort of fell into place after i picked the dress.

good luck!!

welcome to the board!

start with a few general themes - what you've seen at parties, in magazines, and in your dreams. then note any similarities in colors or other things, and discuss with your FH

I would definitely choose more than one color - unless your theme is all-white or black and white. With a spring wedding, your BMs could each have a different-colored pastel dress or something, and all the bouquest could be a colorful mix or white.

Happy planning!
