Woohoo, the big day is just 5 days away!!! Hurray!!!!! I am a dummy though, we were supposed to say I Swear after we raised our right hands and took the oath, I said I DO instead of I Swear, hahaha! =)

You have to make an oath for your marriage lisence? Im in Texas and we dont have to do that, or at least we didnt used to. We do have the 3-day wait though.

We took the oath. She said the words then we were to each say "I Swear" but I goofed it up, haha!! Thanks for the congrats, I am soo excited!

Congrats. We will be getting ours in May. As far as I know, as long as we have the $35 cash or money order along with our birth certificates and photo ID we will be set to go. No oath needed.

The thing we had to do was sign the paper saying that we were not marrying our "mother, father, sister, brother, unlce, aunt...blah blah blah". No oath needed here in Canada...lol. Just needed birth certficate, money and picture id. and we were good to go!

Wow, okay, I just ASSUMED it is called an oath, since we raised out right hands and had to say I Swear at the end. We signed the same paper saying we weren't related, and what the court lady said before we said I Swear stated basically the same thing and we just swore to it. Laws are different in different states. It was fun!!! Yes I am soooooooo nervous....I am not able to concentrate on anything hardly!!
