I am keeping this journal for my daughter and her soon to be fiance.
Just to give a little background about Emily and Jeff.

Emily is 24 years old with three beautiful children. I love them little rug rats. Emily had been married once before and had a downfall in her life at that point. But she spun back around and took the good with the bad and made her life better. She's now a Professional business owner (Something I wish I could be.) Emily has a wonderful personality and is great with her children. I think I have to give her father and myself a pat on the back for a job well done raising her. She's smart, beautiful, and hard working, a great mother and no one can say otherwise. She has a very beautiful heart; she's loving, open-minded, selfish less and would put anyone else before herself.

Jeff is 32 years old with a beautiful child as well. He too was married once but I'm not sure what happened there, and was also an army ranger. He has the greatest personality in a man that I have ever met. I have never met a man in my life that was so persistent on getting my husbands and mine approval for our daughter's hand in marriage before asking her. However, Jeff is a very sweet, loving, and adorable man. I couldn't see my daughter any happier with anyone than him. He makes her laugh even when she's down; she smiles when she talks to him. When he rings in, she is quick to hang up with me. This man has done a number on her and I love it.

Jeff and Emily met on a dating service; I'm not quite sure which one. They were both looking for the same thing and I believe he messaged her first or it could be vice versa. But either way they came across each other, they chatted on the email on that service and on yahoo messenger for a while. I've never seen two people who put so much effort into meeting each other and never got to. It was hard for them, I know. It tore them both up when things got in the way of them meeting. They tried a second time and still wasn't able to meet each other. They went to try a third time and she was a bit too late to get to see him, so that one I fault her for.. :D I'm kidding.

So they talked a little longer and lost contact for a month I believe. Then the other day, Emily and I were talking on the phone and I asked her whatever happened to Jeff? The strangest thing was she told me that she had been thinking about him the whole time wondering if she should call him again. I told her that she should and I hung up on her for her to call him. She did and found that he had been thinking about her the whole time as well. They have such and instant connection between the two of them, that I've never seen before with anyone. They can tell what each other is thinking, when they are thinking it, I've seen it. I was over at Emily's yesterday for a little while and she typed that she was in love with him and he was typing at the same time. When she hit enter, he hit enter and both came up that he was in love with her and she was in love with him. I'm freaking out over it; I haven't seen anything like it in the whole 59 years I've been living.

Later last night when I got home, I emailed Emily asking for Jeff's email. So he agreed and she gave it to me. I wrote him and he wrote me. That's when he asked me for mine and my husband's blessing, but he was also going to ask in person as well. So I told him yes, I think it would be great to have him in the family. Then he tells me he's picking up her ring today sometime. We got talking and I found out what kind. Its a carat princess cut diamond solitaire with a platinum band. I looked up my idea of his description of the ring was on the Internet and found a picture. It is gorgeous! I absolutely love it. Then he told me how he was going to propose and when. I gave him a few pointers on what I thought she might like. So we'll see how the proposal turns out. I'm anxious to know.
