I had a guy call a few minutes ago wanting to complain about a CD he bought from our company. He went on for like 10 minutes about how poor the quality was and how we need to do more than refund his money and send him a new CD. Then, out of nowhere he demanded to talk to my manager, so I went and got her, and she talked to him for another 10 minutes until finally she came over to my desk and said he would like to place an order, and everything was straightened out.
I greeted him again, and got all his information (as I do with everey call), he named the products he wanted, I entered and calculated shipping. At the end I told him his total, and asked what type of Credit Card he wanted to use......no answer, so I asked again, and he says didn't your manager tell you I get these free for oyu screwing up my last order??
I said no sir she did not. Let me put you on hold for a minute and speak with her. He then started calling me names, and said I called him a liar. So, he demanded to talk to the owner of the facility, (which he did not get to talk to). To make a long story short (LOL!) he ended up getting like $75.00 worth of books for free becuase of one little $6.98 CD!!!

IMO he clearly got away with scamming your company! If he didn't like the quality of the first CD, what makes the manager/owner think he will enjoy $75 worth of more products? A full refund at the beginning should have been sufficient.

Hang in there, it's not you it's just the way some people are!

Sorry you're having a bad day hun!!

I can relate to that. Working with the public sucks!! For whatever reason a lot of people think that those of us in the "service" industry are stupid. I guess those same people feel like they can be rude and throw out some threats and by doing that they will get something for free.

Try not to let it get to ya! Easier said than done I know. But at any rate I hope the day gets better!

That's the crappy part about being in the service industry hey!! I remember back when I was 17 or 18 I was working at KFC. I always did drive thru, was training to be a supervisor, and was one of the best employees they had. Well one night this guy and his family came through the drive through at like five minutes to close and ordered all kinds of food that I had to cook but I did it because it was my job. I was polite and courteous and didn't complain one bit. Well after they had left my drive through I shut down the lights and proceeded to start cleaning up for the night. When all of sudden there is banging on my drive thru window. So I go and it's the guy who came through five to close, complaining that something was cold. (By this time my til is closed.) I asked him if he wanted me to make hima new one because I hadn't yet gotten around to throwing away the gravy, he snapped at me "NO! I want my God **** money back!!!" So I said I'd see what I could do, and went and talked to my manager. She gave me the two dollars to give back to him. He drove away! The next day he called and told my manager that I had flipped him off and demanded that I apologize to him and his wife. Now I DID NOT FLIP this guy off because quite frankly even though he was pissy at me, I didn't care and gave him his money no problem. And I needed that job so why would I flip them off and almost lose my job. Long story short (well ok shorter) people SUCK!! I don't know why they think it's acceptable to belittle people and I'm sorry that happened to you!~! It's terriable that LYING people get free products! Boo!!

Wow well I guess he just got some more X-mas gifts congrats to the co. your working for. It really makes no sense on how he can make off with $75 of merchandise and only payed $6 something for a CD. Wow so sorry your having such a bad day.
