What type of Christmas lights do you prefer on the house?

I like extravagant lights, but the ones I like the best are the white ice sickle lights.

I am a snob .... when it comes to lights on a house, I like them in any colour so long as they are hanging straight and in some sort of logical order - white, red, green, white, red, green .... white, white, red, red, white, white, red, red etc. ....... ok I am anal! LOL

I hate burned out bulbs and flashing lights. I am not a big fan of icicle lights either but that is only because everyone and their neighbour has them now.

I like the icicle lights the best. And as Elizabeth said "they need to be in some order" not just thrown up there for the sake of being there.

Really, I don't care, as long as it looks good and not too crazy...I hate the new blow up things that are out and I'm not a big fan of those plastic light up characters.

Those blow up things and the plastic characters make me a little crazy! lol! There is one at the top of the street that is on a timer and all day it is just a pile of fabric on the lawn. It looks really sad.

I don't mind icicle lights. They are not my favourite though. I prefer the big coloured lights. And like Elizabeth.... they need to be in an order. Red, White and Green is what we have this year! I don't like all blue lights. They arn't really bright i find.

I like white lights. I guess because (like Elizabeth) I am so anal when it comes to the colored lights being in a set order. I would go insane if I had to change around all the bulbs to get them in order, so it's easiest to just do white. I refuse to use the blue lights. I personally, do not like them at all!

I like the colored lights. Don't really care if they are in any specific order though. We don't always decorate outside since we live in a duplex. Our neighbors never decorate and I think it looks stupid for half the building to be lit up.

I like the flashing colored lights. I have 3 sets on my tree that play with the sounds of x-mas music. The others are just flashing colored lights.

My favorite would have to be white lights (icicle or otherwise).

Although if done "right" multi colored lights are pretty too. The only color lights I don't care for are the blue ones. It just doesn't look like Christmas to me.
I'm not a huge fan of the blow-ups either!

I will admit to liking the wire/lighted reindeer, snowmen and/or spiral tree, but not all together!

I have colored lights on my tree. They are a medium size bulb. Not those tiny ones. And not those huge ones that you used to see on peoples houses. In between those. I grew up with light blue lights and I hate them now lol.

I love them all! But I'll confess that I'm partial to colored lights on a tree. I don't like entire sets of blue or orange though, for someone reason it just doesn't feel Christmassy to me.

It would be more fun if I could only get them to wear a santa hat for longer than one second so I can snap a picture LOL snowball is a pushover I can do anything to him, Bear is a tank and lets you know he is boss, he literally will head bunt me all night on the computer to let him out on the patio lol

I really like a theme outfront. Growing up we always had burch trees on our front lawn and we had a white house. So we always had a candy cane themed front yard.
Now we have the big grinch on our front lawn and have all green lights.
I don't really care about the colour persay, but I do like it to all be neat and tidy.
We have one house down the street from us that looks liek they have been collecting Christmas lights since the 80's. Everythign is mismatched, the burnt out bulbs are replaced with a different colour and there all droopy but there's a ton of lights. The way I see it, with the time spent hanging them all and the hydro bill you'll get from it, why not make it look good? JMO.

We use white lights ... we have icicles on the roof line and regular ones wrapped around the stairs. That is about all we do, well besides the wreath on the door, oh and these little lighted trees on the porch too.

That looks really pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that's such a classy look truly. I love going to the States and getting all the light up things liek your little trees. For some reason it's a lot cheaper.

We do the same thing!!!! Boxing day week for us we get all of our stuff. the $100 Grinch on the front lwn was bought 2 days after Christmas for $20.
That's the best time to buy a new fake tree too. We can't have a real one cause the dogs pee on it and the cats climb it lol

I like white lights and the lighter color lights (you know the ones that are almost pastel so they look good with the white lights). I cant wait til we can decorate our own house next year... we cant do it this year because we dont have the house ready.
