Where do you hide your purchased gifts before Christmas?

In the years previously I always hid them at someone else's house or at the office. But now that we married we will hide them in the attic. The kids aren't allowed in there and hate it with a passion so we do not have to worry about them looking there. teehee

I just voted in closet because I do sometimes. But right when I get them I usually wrap them up.

My closet is scary and no one would dare to venture in so .... into the closet they go. If something is too big for the closet, I will leave it at work until it's wrapped.

I would wrap them and put them in the closet, and then my kids would still find them and open them. Then they would reseal them. Grrrrrr!!!! :hothead: That used to make me so mad! Looking back on it, it was just a kid thing to do, and I just should have put them away better. :huh:

All of the presents I bought for my friends sat in a closet until I wrapped them yesterday. But all of our other presents I just wrapped right away. Alex's presents I don't need to really hide because we get them after Christmas and I will just wrap them right when I get them until we exchange our gifts.

My mom used to hide the "Santa" presents under the stairs in the basement...but we found them one year! Lol. When she wraps them, she locks the basement door. And even though we're grown up, she still does Santa presents because she likes to lol.

I just wanted to share a past experience with everyone. When I was 16 years old my mother and her sister lived next door to one another. She also had a daughter my age and we were best friends. One year the two of them got together and decided to hide each of our gifts at the others house. Being teenagers we both had opened them up before the big day and resealed them back and loved our gifts. We shared with each other as to what we had gotten. Well you should have seen our faces the day of christmas when we got up and opened them. Needless to say our parents were tickled to death because they knew we would do this. They had a blast watching our faces that morning. After the initial shock wore off we thought it funny as well.

Usually in the trunk of my car until I wrap them. As soon as they're wrapped, which I try to do as soon as possible (meaning anytime I have alone time), they're out in plain sight.

In the cupboard under the stairs, we intentionally break the handle on the door every year!!

mY RULE OF THUMB HAS ALWAYS BEEN TO HIDE THEM IN THE MOST OBVIOUS PLACES AND THE KIDS WILL NOT FIND THEM. THIS IS WHAT MY MOM DID AND I CONTIUE THE TRADITION. I ADMIT I WILL HIDE THEM IN MY CHILDRENS CLOSET'S THE PART THAT THEY HARDLY GO INTO LIKE ON THE SHELF BEHIND THERE STUFF ANIMALS. IN THE EMPTY BOXES AND TOTES OF THE CHRISTMAS DECORTAIONS. NEVER IN MY BEDROOM THAT IS WHERE THEY CHECK. ALSO I WILL HIDE THE STOCKING STUFFERS IN THEIR SUMMER TOTES. LOL THEY NEVER CHECK THERE. I HAVE HID THEM IN THE KITCHEN CUBBOARDS WHEREVER I CAN FIND A PLACE. I HAVE BEEN LUCKY KNOCK ON WOOD THEY ARE GOING ON 13 AND 12 AND HAVE YET TO FIND A PRESANT. HEEHE I HOPE I DIDN'T JUST RUIN MY LUCK.

It depends on what it is. Sometimes i hide it in the closet or a drawer in my dresser. Sometimes i leave it at my mom's until i can wrap it. Mark will look for things so i have to be super careful.

I have a rubbermaid tote that called "the gift box", anything that I pick up during the year for birthdays, Christmas, etc., goes in there. Then, I pull things out and wrap them as I need them. My nephew got a ride on Thomas the Train thing from us this year - it's too big for the gift box, so it's in my extra bedroom.

I don't normally have to hide gifts. If I get something too early then I will put it in the closet or in one of my drawers under the bed. Most of the time I just wrap it right away.

I use a big garbage bag for each person. But things this year will have to change as a sneaky little man will be sharign a room with me and i don't want him snooping. Then again I might just have to booby trap them shut!

Nowhere special. It's just Steve and I in the house, so I just keep all the gifts in the office as they accumulate.

We dont' really hid the gifts much. Most of the small stuff we will put right under the tree since it's just us. The big things, I'll wait to the last minute to buy if possible. If not, I just try to come up with some place I know he won't look.

I dont have a usual spot to hide gifts. I think it depends on who's gift it is and how large or small it is. Sometimes they go in the closet, dresser drawer, or even on a shelf in the basement.

nomraly i just put thing in my crafting box and no one finds it because my craft box is off limit to every one exepted me..

If I order online I have it shipped to me at work and/or I wrap presents at home since no one is there when I'm there of an evening.

I would have to say closet. I try to wrap it as soon as I get it though.
