We put up ours after Thanksgiving. I would like to go look for one next weekend. We get a real one and if you do it to early it looks bad by the time Christmas comes around. We will probably take ours down early this year anyway because we will be on our honeymoon until the 5th of January and the tree would be horrible by then!!! We get married on the 30th, so it will probably come down on the 28th.

Me and the kids put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving. My Fh doesn't help he is such a scrooge. But loves the look of the house after it's all done. Then back to being a scrooge until X-mas day LOL I don't know about him.

We will put ours up sometime after the thanksgiving holiday. In the past when we had a live tree I never put it up till about two weeks before christmas.

We usually put ours up the 2nd weekend of December. We take my grandmother to get her tree too so we just go at once and she doesn't like to go real early so her tree is still nice and fresh for Christmas day since we do Christmas at her house.

We always buy a fresh tree, so we get it about 2 weeks before christmas so it doesn't die before christmas day.

I have seen through windows of several people around here and some already have their trees up. Some have had Christmas lights up and turned on since last week!!

I voted before, because I am going by your thanksgiving but I put it up AFTER OUR Thanksgiving in October that's for sure. I believe we've had our tree up for a week now.
We also put ours up after the American Thanksgiving.. sometime around December 1st.. This year I am getting anxious and thinking about doing it sooner.

I don't like to rush Christmas, because I will burn out on it quickly. So I usually don't put up a tree or do any decorating until after December 15. That way, I'm not going crazy by December 31st to get this Christmas stuff out of my house. lol :)

Usually we put up our tree right before we go home for Thanksgiving (like the night before) because I'm used to putting up the tree on Thanksgiving (thats when we always put up my parents tree), and usually after Thanksgiving is so hectic.

This isn't really applicable to me as Thanksgiving for me in October, but we always put it up a few days before my Mom's b-day which is Dec 10th. This year however we may put it up Sunday because I wanna get the decorations started before my surgery.

The tree goes up after Thanksgiving, the first weekend in December actually. That is when my FIL's all go to a tree farm and pick out real trees. Next Saturday!
We usually do the decorations and lights Thanksgiving weekend but we did it early this year being its our first Christmas in our place together.

For some reason, I had thought I had answered this poll before! lol...oh well..
We put ours up after Thanksgiving. Because we get a real tree, we usually wait until about 2 weeks before Christmas. That way it's still mostly fresh for Christmas. Also, that gives us a little bit longer to have it, because I don't take it down til after Jan. 6th. Family tradition and all. I start decorating though on Dec. 1st. If I had a fake tree, I would probably put it up earlier. I love Christmas decorations!

Before Thanksgiving, esp. this year b/c we were hosting and we wanted everyone to get to see our tree and many of them may not make it back over bet. now and Christmas b/c the other parties are elsewhere.
I think I will keep that tradition in the future, putting it up the weekend before or week of T-day. The holidays go by so quickly and the tree looks so lovely and adds such a warm glow to the room. I just love Christmas trees.

Since I don't have any Christmas decorations up yet at home, I thought I would make my signature really Christmasy. I need to get into the Christmas spirit some way. LOL!!

The 4 day weekend around Thansgiving is our prep for Christmas weekend. I'm sitting here at the diningroom table surrounded by boxes of Christmas decorations. Our tree is up, but we haven't decorated it. We use a fake because Jonathan doesn't like real trees. I do have a wreath up over the fireplace though and it smells great!

I voted after Thanksgiving as we always put our tree up on Dec. 8th. The 8th is my B-Day and it has been a tradition since I was a kid. My mom still does it and I have carried it over to my kids. So every year I know what we are doing for my B-Day. So this Friday it will be going up. And we always buy a fresh real tree.
