Let's see when we all plan on decorating for Christmas.

I will probably start decorating when I get back into town next Friday which is the day after Thanksgiving. I'm sure it will take me the whole weekend to finish. I'll also have to change my myspace page from a Thanksgiving page to a Christmas one and that takes lots of time too!

We started over the weekend (pics in my journal). We just need to get the tree (Dec 2) and FH has to put up some more lights and we're done!

I already have all my decorations up. I'm just working on getting all the pictures uploaded so that I can share! We were actually finished putting everything up this past Saturday.

We usually start on Thanksgiving or shortly after. One year we had the tree up a couple of days before.

My mom has this tradition of having her tree up and ready to light for the first time on Thanksgiving. She watches that Macy's great tree thing on TV and has to light hers the same time they do ... she is a little obsessed about it. When we were younger we helped, now I try to not be there during all this ;)

We won't put ours up till after Thanksgiving is over. If we put it up to soon we all get tired of it by the time christmas does roll around.

My tree is up and some decor here and there inside...Eric and I have to clean the gutters and put screens on them, then rake the yard..... (joy of falling leaves) we will string the outside lights then, and put his two twig deer in the yard.

I usually put mine up in the first week of December! And then take them down in the first week of January!

I refuse to decorate or turn on Christmas lights before December 1st.

It was a tradition in our house to put the tree up after December 16th so as not to overshadow my brother's birthday. DH & I get a real tree and we don't want needles to fall before Christmas day, so for us, it's as good a reason as any to keep up the tradition.

One year we got so busy that we didn't get around to looking for a tree until December 23rd - not a good idea! If we were lucky enough to find a lot that still had some, the pickings were slim. Hmmm, I wonder what the people do that celebrate Ukranian or Greek Orthodox Christmas.

Probably not until the first of December at least.

I always start the day after thanksgiving. I start with the small stuff, door and window decorations, a little every day until we get our tree. We usually get our tree 2 weeks before Christmas. I can't wait to start decorating and litening to Christmas music! It always gets me in such a great mood!

Decorating for me is just doing lights outside, the Christmas tree and this year our apartment door for the contest. I hate other nick-nacky stuff, so I don't have anything like that. We always do our decorating right before we go home for Thanksgiving....but this year we might do it right after Thanksgiving because our schedules are much more hectic this year. We already have our outdoor lights up because we wanted to get them up before it snowed...so we jsut have our tree to put up and our door to decorate.

I am the same, i dont like Christmas coming too early. When my kids were small they knew that it was the 1st and then we'd spend ages decorating things - now with no children i still do the same! xxx

Me and the kids always put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving. along with all the other decorations for christmas, usually takes us almost all day to finish but it is well worth it in the end. we have so much fun.

The timing is right to pull out the advent calendar as well :)

I plan on starting to decorate on the first weekend of December. I would like to get our tree up and start collecting everything we need.
Although.... next Monday we are going to get together with our neighbors to go through all the Christmas Lights and hang them on the house while the guys are off work. I am thrilled to have Christmas lights this year!
