I am finishing up PMing everyone their Buddie's address today. The rules are the same as the Post Card Exchange rules. The limit for the ornament is $10. (U can spend less, but don't exceed 10 bucks.) Try to get your ornaments picked out soon please. My goal is to have everyone send theirs out by next Fri. the 17th.
Some of you will have a preference; it is just a preference, not mandatory! :)

I think everyone must spend the same amount of money. No it can be less because then you might get someone spending two bucks and another person goes out and spends the closest to ten as possible. It's just fair if everyone spends the same amount of money KWIM??

Yes, I was aware and I am so sorry about that! I got real sick last night and couldn't finish!
Also, on top of that I have an even amt of people on the list but someone is still going 2 be left off somehow, so now I am having to go back on my whole list! I've rechecked 5 times and my sis checked it twice and we can not figure it out! ERRR! I will be correcting the prob. now. I am trying 2 get ahold of Gwen 2 see what happened. What are normal ornaments to you? The ornaments we are talking about are tree ornaments. That is the only kind of Christmas ornament I know of.

I'm really hoping i can get my ornament out by Friday. I went to the only shop i know of in the new town we live in that might have ornaments. Nothing was right. It was a really neat shop. But didn't have what i wanted. So i have to go down into the City hopefully tommorrow if not then Friday. So my ornament might not get into the mail until Monday morning.

Hopefully it won't take long to get there. But, it's got a long way to go!

I don't see why we don't just do it like the pc exchange, except that we post pics of our gift and tell who sent it.

Some people will get theirs sooner than others ... I don't know about the rest of you but the closer it gets to the holiday I may not be on as much. Plus I am impatient and I want to share as soon as I got mine ;)

Today's package was the cake topper (my present to DH - ok ok it's really my present). Here is a pic of Mini-me and Mini-Hugh in their new home.

Of course, before they were put away, Mini-Hugh had to ask Mini-Me to marry him. Mini-Me said yes (of course). Then they walked down the aisle to dum dum ti dum. Then they kissed. Then they stood for pictures in front of the crystal and now they will live happily ever after there.

I hate it that you didn't get yours Karen. So your buddy never contacted you?

Christian, (she was in charge of this right?) have we contacted her? If we don't hear from her I say she is banned from ever participating in anything again.

But ya know when we did that last gift exchange back around Easter, I never got a package. Then a couple of months later my buddy sent me a message and said why it was late and sent it on.

I hate it that you didn't get yours Karen. So your buddy never contacted you?

Christian, (she was in charge of this right?) have we contacted her? If we don't hear from her I say she is banned from ever participating in anything again.

But ya know when we did that last gift exchange back around Easter, I never got a package. Then a couple of months later my buddy sent me a message and said why it was late and sent it on.

I was contacted by them about two weeks ago, but still never received it. This one sort of did it for me, and I really don't wish to participate in them anymore.

I don't think it's really Christian's fault that karen never got her's...however I completely understand why Karen wouldn't want to participate in any further exchanges.

I haven't seen Christian on in quite a while, perhaps it's just with Christmas and New Years she just doesn't have time.

IT really sucks that Karen didn't get hers, I'm sorry! We can always talk to Gwen as well about all this because she helped organize it too. So she may have some answers for us too!! :wink:

Christian did try to help me, it was Christian who got my Santa Buddy to contact me. My buddy told me that they forgot, and that they would be mailing it out the next day. They must have forgotten again. :huh:

It is certainly the fault of the buddy and I think she should be banned from ever participating in anything like this again.

I really hate it that she probably got something and Karen didn't :icon_barbar: I hope she isn't one of the well known regulars ... we only let the established senior members in on this right?

This happened to me before when we did the gift exchange and it feels horrible knowing u yourself went to the effort of buying and posting a gift, but nobody did it for u in return. Hope it comes soon Karen xxx

In this one we actually did allow newer members in but newer members aren't the issue this time.

I hope a package shows up or Karen's buddy contacts her and tells her whatin the world happened or is going on!!! This really stinks that it had to happen and to one of our respected members of the Onewed community. (it would stink if it happened to anyone really...ya know what I mean! lol)

Just to let everyone know "I was karen's secret santa buddy". While I may have been late in getting it mailed to her and I apoligized profusely for doing so, I did mail it the day I told her I would. I don't know what has happened to them but it is not the fault of myself. I mailed to the correct address and contacted Karen once more to tell her. She has not responded to my contacting her. I am sorry she has not received them from me. I mailed her two ornaments, the original one and I bought her another one to make up for it being so late. One was a beautiful lilac crystall teardrop (shaped like a small chandelier) and the other was a burgendy beaded star. The lilac was to represent Amber's wedding colors. Once more I am sorry the postal service has lost them. If you ladies do not want me to participate in any more of the exchanges then so be it. But I would appreciate no one commenting about me just forgetting my buddy. I did not.

I thought is was pretty rare that things actually got lost in the mail. But I guess there is always a chance of this happening. That really sux ... I don't know what I'd do if it was me.

None of us know you were her buddy, so don't take it personally. I think we were all just upset that Karen was the only one that didn't get anything in the exchange. We would have felt the same if it was you.

Would you have a tracking number so you'd know where it could be? I know in Canada for a couple extra bucks you can track your parcel. (I do not trust CP or USP at all! lol) So I'll always track them. I'm just wondering if you may have a tracking number for it! I hate how USP and CP are so irresponsible.

USPS lost my christmas present from FH 2 years ago and there was no way to track it, it said it was delivered and did not need to be signed for, so I was basically SOL. So someone has my jaccuzzi bathmat I hope they enjoyed it. Unless it has to be signed for there really is no way to track it:(

I know with USPS you can get tracking and insurance. So if it is lost you can file a claim and get a refund for the value of the item. I think it only cost a couple of bucks extra, maybe we all should do that next time.

I have never had anything lost in the mail, but I know someone who sent a pretty pricey gift to a friend and it got lost.

I once had a problem with both USP and CP when I was getting our cake topper for the wedding. It mysteriously dissapeared. Finally the sender tracked it and it was sitting in a shop in town and that shop never even bothered to call me!! I mean how hard would it have been to look me up in the phone book or something!! BLAH!! I hate Canada post alot. They really are a bunch of slackers!! lol

OK!! I am finally back! :) Things have been so crazy in my life lately! It's been almost a month I have not been on! I have missed all of u! I have been trying to take care of Jen and Karen as soon as I found out that they did not get their gifts! I felt horrible! Both of their secret santa's got back to me and let me know they would be sending their gifts even if it would be late.

Karen and Jenn what is the update of the gifts u were supp. to receive?
Also, Karen did u ever receive the package from me? It should have arrived before Christmas bc I paid extra so it will! Please let me know either way so I can contact the comp. ( I sent it straight from Seventh Ave. so it would reach u in time!)
