Wanda & Antommio 9/06/07(?)

Hello ALL!!!

My name is Wanda, I am 24 yrs old and I have a 3yr old son whose name is Cedric. My FH's name is Antommio and he is 25. He and I met each other in 1997 at West End High School. In the South, marching bands are the "in" thing, so as you can guess that's where we met. I was a flag girl and he played the tuba. I actually was messing around with a mutual friend who was the drum major at that time. The drum major and I decided to let things go their junior year,so I ended up alone. Well, it ws Tommio's senior year and both of his parents had passed on,co he didn't want to attend his prom or graduation. I was really liking him by then so I was like, "Every senior needs a prom, you only get one time. If you go,I will go with you and you won't have to find a date or anything" So he agree and we kept it a secret from the band and all our friends. When we showed up at the prom those ppl heads turned!!! We were it that night! And he made it the most memorable nights of my life! We even spent the next day together. We went to breakfast and then lunch and we went to the park and then dinner and it was great! I never wanted it to End. So I asked him to be my boyfriend, and he laughed!

so when my senior prom came I went looking for him,he went to college to march for the "Golden Bears". I never could find him. I ended up having a horrid senior prom.Years passed and we really lost touched, I would try to find him everytime I came home from college, it was like he dropped of the planet! I married my first husband and had my son and left him all in one year! When after my son had turned 1yrs old I received a phone call.....
The caller said" you couldn't wait for me, you were suppose to be my wife...and that's suppose to be my son" And I am like who is this and he starts to talk about things that only Band members would know and I am stunned because I don't know who this is... and then he is like "you know me.We went to the prom together". And I was floored! I told him how for the last couple of years I had been trying to find him and I was so hysterical when we hung up the first time. My heart skipped so many beats... I eventually talked to him about the hard time I had with my ex and that I know it would be hard to date me, but if he was willing to give me a chance, it may work. And you know what..... I got a boyfriend:bblol:

Well there has not been a formal proposal, you know with the ring and all the dramatizations, but stay tunned knowing him that is sure to come. After being a devoted couple for a year, one day while laying in bed watching our son...he said will you be my wife and I said I can't because I am still married. He said I know that....but what if you weren't will you marry me and I said yes, in a heart beat. So that's how we became engaged. I know that Tommio wants it all done the "correct" way. But I am pending the divorce and honestly that's what he is waiting on. But for now it is informal and he said "just have everything together and then the only thing we will have to get is the ring. Antommio is my other half. Everything I am not, he is. I can't imaine my life without him! God led me through the rain(my ex) and showed me a rainbow (my son) which led me to my pot of gold(my FH). He is the father I thought my son would never have. I can love him like I am suppose to now. I love him with everything i have and with every thing I am. My son gave my life new meaning and Antommio gave me a caption! I am forever grateful for the both of them. They were both my blesssings in disguise.:D

so right now a lot has changed. The colors have changed and the wedding date as well. The colors will be cranberry red and burnt orange wilth accents of gold. The month will be Sept. the year depends on the proposal. My FH hates to be hot so that's why I said Sept. The only flower used will be roses.
Also the place has changed. the wedding will be at his church, but my pastor will be the officiant. Because I have a good coordinator, the only thing I have to worry about is ideas for favors,the cakes, our song selections, reception venue, menue, and other small things. I will be getting everything from a boutique, so the girls get to pick their own dresses.

Well last night I went ring hunting, he told me to pic what I wanted. So I did. It is beautiful. Now the ring was my pick but the proposal will be the surprise. I thought another one of the brides on here was like that. Noot sure. Oh and I am paying for his ring, which he doesn't know by the way, and I will have it engraved. It will say" the greatest gift is love" which is one of our fav christmas songs. It is also the song I am going down the isle on. It is a gospel song by kirk franklin, off his christmas album.

Well, I have been working so much, and running around with the Praise Ministry at church, I have hardly had time to be on. And...I have been on this new job, which they are kinda strict. So, on my lunch I have been doing wedding decor hunting and trying to come up with invitations, save the dates/and program stuff. All while fixing up the house. I am NOT selling. My fh and I are going to fix it up. Because once we are married we will have 3 kids. He has temp custody of his 2 blind nephews. So we will need a house. Trying to get things in order and paying for a wedding is not easy....but I am sure we will triumph!(LOL)

Well we have started the wedding planning, now that the house is together.
I have found my dress. I just wanted to do that first.(LOL)
The wedding venue is the church, and the reception venue is the church's convention center! (How wonderful!)The flowers/decorations are being done by a family friend. The photos are being done by a local photographer who does pics for my church. The videographer is a local who does all videos for my church. I don't have a DJ and I don't have the food, but I have two menus to choose from. I need one of those list to know eveything I need to do.
