I own both, but my dog can't get on the bed because he's too little, and there's no way I can keep my cat off the bed once I'm asleep. So the cat sleeps with me, but the dog doesn't.

Our cat sleeps in all of our beds at different times of the night. Our little dog sleeps in a kennel made big enough for a 100 po. dog. And the 100 po. dog is not suppose to sleep on any of our beds but once we are sleeping he sneaks his way into someones bed. LOL.

One of our 2 cats sleep on the bed. He usually sleeps at the end of the bed between Mike and I. Sometimes he inches up and ends up sleeping on either of our pillows but always in the middle.
The other, she will sleep on the bed if one of us lays down (not both) or she gets in bed with me as soon as Mike leaves for work in the morning. She likes only one of us at a time on the bed before she will sleep, if the other cat is there they are on opposite sides.

We only allow the dog to sleep with us when the children are all gone. And the cats are not allowed at all because of my allergies. They should just be thankful they are in the house. lol

Yes. The cats sleep with me, but don't sleep on the bed when Mark's here (he doesn't visit much). The dog can't get on my bed at home, but will sleep on the bed when I visit Mark. If they can get in it, they can sleep in it.

I don't own a dog right now, only cats, but in any event, I would let either one of them sleep on my bed. I only intend to get a small pug, so it's not like a great big dog. I do let my cats sleep with me though.

I only have cats at the moment and they do sleep with us or the kids. On some ones bed any way. If we had a dog I would not apposed to it sleeping on the bed.

My cat sleeps at the end of our bed then in the morning when Kevin leaves he comes up closer and cuddles up to me. He is so lovey in the morning.

My cat sleeps in my bed almost every night, at least for a while. When I first go to bed, he comes with me, and cuddles up against my chest and purrs and kneads for a while. Once he sure I'm about to fall asleep, he moves to the bottom of the bed down where my feet are. Usually, though, by the time I wake up, he's down in the living room. I think I move around too much for him.

We have a cat and she is welcome to sleep on the bed. Sometimes she does and sometimes she doesn't, I guess it all depends on her mood.

Yes my dog sleeps with me....and she thinks she needs the whole bed. She is just a little dog....but if she wants to lay a certain way you have to move. If Adam is around she likes to lay between us or on top of him.

Our cat Dusty sleeps with us. Either on Mark's chest, or one of our pillows. I couldn't imagine it any other way. When i had a dog she slept on my bed as well. I would allow that as well as long as the dog wasn't really big.

We have a cat and a dog but the dog is still young (only 8 months) so she's not trained enough to run around the house while we're sleeping or out of the house. So she doesn't sleep with us but the cat does most nights.

Either, my cat, theres no keeping her off the bed. I kick her off sometimes when shes in my way when I'm sleeping but otherwise I don't care. We don't have a dog, but I wouldn't care because my parents dog would always sleep with me when I was younger and was fine with it.

I am not really an animal person, the only pets we have are ones that can stay in cages, so my answer would be NO. We have one hamster, one mouse, one corn snake and two turtles, but they all stay in their cages.

Justin is really opposed to any animals on the bed, but when he is out of town I let my dog and the 2 cats sleep with me. I have no room left!!! I usually end up throwing the cats out half way through the night because they play around and don't let me sleep. Sadie (the dog) sleeps the whole night.

my cat slept with me or my parents until recently. I can't let her in my room because she thinks my rat is a snack, and she meows too much for my parents, so now she thinks anywhere else is her bed. I miss sleeping with her! I slept in the same bed as my cat and lab when i was a kid.

i would love to but the one dog tends to think its a giant pee pee pad- he is very very little still - and the other one will get sad without his brother- but once in a while the dog that pees too much stays at my brother's b/c he loooves that dog and then the other dog gets to stay on the bed with us!

I had a rott when I was a kid that slept with me. Now we have two cats and mine will sleep with me when Brian's not there (she's weird) and when brian's there she leaves, and his usually ends up in the bed. I've told B that if anything ever happened to him, I'd end up with a rott again. Something about a big hairy body in the bed I've gotten used to. :D

We have two dogs and a cat and they all sleep on the bed with us. The cat gets a little crowded so he doesn't stay long. Between the two dogs, we have 170+ pounds of dog on the bed with us!!! Leaves little room for us!

We have 2 dogs and a cat. Our hound Daisy usually sleeps in the bed, I would prefer her to sleep on her bed and I always kick her down at night but when i wake up...yeah shes right next to me! And our Chihuahua,Harley, sleeps in his crate bc he jumps down to much and he might pee. And Kiwi has the tendency to attack us in our sleep so we try to make sue he is outside before we go to bed.

Since my cats shed all the time I shut them out of my room just before Grady was born. I did a huge cleaning job on our bed room and the door stays closed. My top blanket was always covered in their hair and they were trying to get into grady's crib ( before he was here ) and I didn't want to chance them jumping in there with him there. I also didn't want to lay my baby on the bed and him get covered in cat hair. They hate me for locking them out but the still have the kids rooms. they also sleep in the bathroom on my towels. I dont have a closet for the towels so I put one over the rest of them so I dont dry off with a towell full of cat hair. they also have a little cat house thingy in the hall way upstairs and one sleeps in there alot.

Oh my G-d, my Tinkerbell is the same way! She's still really young though, not even a year old. Hopefully, she'll grow out of it, along with her "Miss Priss" attitude. :notsure: When she curls up in bed with me though, she'll lay on my hip or my back because I lay on my side or stomach. She'll just lay there and purr away like a little motor boat. It's so adorable.

Anyone who's had a dog that sleeps with them can absolutely identify with that first picture. My labradore would sleep with his head on the pillow, and hook his front paw over my shoulder, his hind leg over my hip.

I had a girlfriend spend the night one winter because of bad roads, and her kids got the spare bed.

We were laying there talking, Sampson finally came up to go to bed, jumped on the bed, slid between us, and flopped his leg over her hip, and paw over her shoulder, and I thought I was gonna pee myself laughing. She was almost in tears when she said "Oh My god, this dog is spooning me ! What do I doooo?"

I told her to go to sleep - he wouldn't tell anyone in the morning if she wouldn't !

we have two babies, they are about 3pounds and 5 pounds.\we usually dont allow them on the bed b.c its very very tall. well last week our power went out at 11pm and so we had to go to my parents. At my parents they have a queen sized bed in their spare room (we sleep on a cali king) it is very low to the ground, so we let the pups sleep with us. They were in a weird place and my parents have two VERY big dogs so they get nervous. well i guess at around 3 my mom came in to check and make sure the pups were in the room and must have let the big dogs slip by. B.c that was my old room they are very protective and WOULD NOT GET OUT. so instead they jumped in bed with us. So here fh and i are with a 95 pound lab and a 65 pound mutt and our two babies - we all sleep in there b/c gthe big dogs refused to leave - fh said he will NEVER stay there again unless my parents r gone and we are sleeping in there where they have the same bed as us and NO dogs go!! haha! funny thing is that FH and i used to live there for a while and the dogs never did that before. they must have just been ecstatic that we were home!

Absolutely not! The dog weighs almost as much as me, and he would take the whole bed over if he could. Plus, the thought of dog hair, dingleberries, and dead skin covering the bed grosses me out! That is where we spend our naked time!

FH would love for the dog to sleep with us though. They slept in the same bed when they lived with his parents.

Pets aren't possessions, they're family members, and as such, can sleep wherever the heck they want to. LOL.....

We have two cats... they don't sleep with us often, but they're more than welcome to. In winter, they sleep with us most of the time (Piglet ON my head, Tigger on my feet)...

You mean do they let me sleep in the bed with them?? When we got the first dog he was only 8 weeks old and very tiny (4 lbs) we tried crating the first night, it went well for about 5 min lol. He has slept in the bed with us every since. I was soo afraid I would squish him but nope. When we got the second we knew he would be in the bed too. We now need a bigger bed because they sleep under the covers and feel the need to stretch out as far as they can, they have long legs.

Our dogs do not sleep in the bed with us. It's a dominance thing! We're the humans, we get the most cushy spots. They are also not allowed on the furniture, same reason. The cat sleeps wherever he wants to, and because he's not destructive, he's allowed on the furniture. The cat often chooses to sleep somewhere else in the house, I'm not sure why.
