Hello! I'm Wendy and I'm new to the site. I've been on a couple of wedding forums, but the one I've been using lately has been messing up alot lately and not letting anyone post. I looked around and found this site.... It was a very nice suprise to find such a well ran site with such nice people!!!
Joey and I are getting married May 26, 2007. Our plans are coming along really well. I'm excited about soming on here and metting new friends and hopefully getting some new ideas.

Joey and I met September 13, 2005. I work in retail, and Joey was one of our best shoppers. I later found out it was only because he'd come, hoping to catch a glace of me.

We were introduced by one of my friends at work, went on our first date two days later and bonded instantly. He told me on our first date that he was going to marry me. I didn't believe him, yet here we are today.

Our first date was at the county fair (the guys he worked with dubbed me "my fair lady". I can't remember ever being that nervous at any other date I had ever been on. He was the perfect gentleman. Our first kiss was at the top of the ferris wheel.

Things went pretty fast after that. I met his parents and they instantly made me feel like part of their family. When my mother met him she didn't waste any time to tell me that he was "a keeper", which was unusual for her b/c to her no one had ever been good enough for me.

Joey and I started looking at engagment rings at christmas time and he had started planning how he was going to ask me to marry him. He had planned on waiting until our beach trip in June, but on January 3rd, 2006 he asked me. He went down on one knee and said, "I can't go much longer without you. You are the most wonderful, beautiful person I have ever known, and I love you with all of my heart." Needless to say I cried for at least a good 10 minutes and then accepted. I later found out that he had bought the ring the day before and just decided he couldn't wait any longer.

Joey is in school right now to become a police officer and we live about 30 miles away from each other, so things are kinda tough. Thankfully I started planning as soon as we got engaged, so I'm actually almost finished. Well, at least I feel like I'm almost finished, though it feels like something is always going to pop up.

Our colors are sage green and chocolate brown. I've bought a dress, but having second thoughts about it. I'm hand making our invitations, favors, basically everything because I'm so picky that I haven't found things that I want. I get these images in my head and nothing else can match up to them, so instead of searching to no end I just make my own. I swear I think I should buy stock in ribbon!!!

Well, I bought the dress right after Joey proposed. My mother kinda talked me into it, because we were getting such a good deal on it. Now that I'm knee deep in planning, I just don't think it goes well with the overall feel of the wedding. It just seems too formal.. Oh! It also doesn't have a train. I'm just too indecisive!!

Our Caketopper
Our cake topper is actually a music box. The day of we are going to detach the top part for the cake and then reattach so we can display it later.
The writing on her dress is:
I take thee as my wedded love, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness, and in health, to love and to cherish.
On the bottom:
Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful, it is not arrogant or rude.

Our Unity Candle Holder
The candle holder is an old country church in the woods. The verse on top:
