Since I started working for a fuel company, home heating fuel prices have got my interest. So, I was wondering what the going rate in your area is for home heating fuel. Our cash price today was $1.979 a gallon for #2. What about everyone else?

We have natural gas in our area, but our house is all electric, so I have no idea of the cost.

Electric - so our bill includes heat, lights & hot water .... we average about $75 a month. We are the highest taxed people in all of North America but the one benefit of living in a place that sells their hydro to other provinces is low hydro costs :)

We have electric heating. We use propane for the water heater and dryer. Our electricity runs everything else. Our electricity bill usually runs $150-$180 a month. Ours is usually higher in the summer months because we have to cool more than we have to heat. I also live with 2 men who are very warmed natured. It has to get very cold for them to want to put the heat on. I usually am in sweats and long sleeves all winter long.

Ours is outrageous. Our electric runs about 270.00 a month and the gas bill alone is 300.00 a month in the winter time. Sometimes I don't think this big old house is worth it. We have talked about selling it lately.

We filled our fuel tank about 2 weeks ago and the price was $1.969 a gallon. Hopefully that tank will last us all winter. We had electric heat at my last apartment. I think my bill ran about $80 a month.

Our is running around $1.69.9 a gallon for kerosane. Where I live, But we use a moniter to cut the energy cost down quite a bit and we also have electric heat as a backup that usually runs in the winter around $90 a mo. but that includes all the electric we use so not so bad. We also have HYDRO so we are lucky that we live in this town and not the next town over their light bills run them anywhere from $150-$300 a mo. and thats not even including there fuel bill yet.

We don't have gas. We have hydro. I just set us up the other day on equal billing. It's based on the last 12 months. So our bill will be $145 a month. Since it was my SiL who lived there prior i know we will use less hydro because there are only 2 of us not 5. At the end of the first 12 months we will get a rebate for whatever we did not use. It will be nicely timed for Christmas 2007.

Well as I mentioned before, we have all electric in our house ... the bill is about $100 a month, give or take. It has never been over $150 a month.

We use gas for heat (gas log stove) and hot water...We filled up the tank for the year in July and it was 469.00 so Oct-April (when we would be using the stove) would average about 67.00 a month or so.

I think our highest was like $250 and that was during the heat of the summer.

Our gas isn't bought like that, we pay monthly for our gas supply from underground pipes connecting to the oil/gas rigs off-shore! i pay 40pound a month for my gas, 30 for my electric!
