Hey ladies, I am currently a Customer Service Representative...YUCK!
I hate my job. I have only been here like 6 months, but dealing with rude customers, and doing other people's work is just not cutting it for me!!!
Does anyone know of any good job websites??
I haev tried Monster.com, Careerbuilder.com, stltoday.com (st. louis post dispatch), emissourian.com (the missourian)......
HELP!!!!!!
If I have to hear my boss complain about other workers for one more day, I'm gonna go crazy!!
 :hothead:

I am a CSR as well. The thing I have found is that many many jobs fall under that title. Why not check out a few different CSR positions? While all of them may hold the same title, I think you will find that they are very different from each other.
I work in a small co. as a CSR but I would say I am more of the office manager. I do invoicing, shipping documentation, web site maintenance, distributor support, customer support, salesman support, inside sales, technical support, return authorizations, credit notes and oh yes, I also organize the company Christmas party (when we are having one that is).
CSR isn't all that bad if you like where you are. I will not work for a call center, taking either inbound or outbound calls.

If you haven't already subscribe to the local newspaper(s) and search the job ads daily. You may be qualified to do a variety of different jobs like an office manager, school secretary or any type of secretary or something.
Look for employment agencies or head hunters and list with all of them, they typically make a commission from your new employer if you work out, so they work quite hard at getting people work.
Depending on how much you really need a steady income right now, would a complete career change be possible? Figure out what you like to do or your interests and try to find a position in that field, like real estate, physical fitness or something. That may require classes or other training and time to build clients and/or a reputation though.

You can get a My Yahoo! or something like that, it allows you to post your resume and businesses an actually contact you that way.

See, like you said all CSR are different..
I DO take inbound, and Outbound calls, Invoicing, Filing, Report Writing, Setting up accounts, Return Auth's, Credits, E-mail, Dictation, ect.
The main problem with this place is that everyone talks behind your back, and I just cannot handle it anymore...

Well, it's easier to find a job when you already have one so update your resume and start looking. As bad as things may be, it pays to be a bit choosy.
It's too bad we can't interview the employer and their employees! I have found that while you might not have as many duties in a larger company, there are definitely more office politics involved. You might feel more comfortable in a smaller place. Ummmmmmmm just make sure your coworkers and bosses are not all related - family owned businesses are no fun either.

yeah tell me about it...the company I work for now IS family owned, and most of the employees are related here, so it does suck!!
It is a pretty small company too!
