Our event will be very casual and we want to give our guests a cool party favor. The problem is that we are having 250 people at our wedding. Does anyone have an idea of cost effective party favors that don't look like they came out of a cracker jack box? Any help yould be appriciated.
-Thanks
David

What im doing is buying mini choc. bars wrapped with a little verse and our names and date on them. I got the labels from e-bay. Really depends on what kind of theme ect. your going to use.

We made our favours for 120 people. They were champaign glasses filled with hersey kisses. It was alot of work. I don't know if you want to make that many or not. But there are alot of really nice chocolate boxes you can buy online or little trinkets. Try googling Wedding Favours, there are tons of very unique ideas!

I have two suggestions....I love votives with inscriptions but with 250 favors that could get pricy...I saw these coasters that you can either put in a photo of the bride and groom in or a personal message pic..It's a favor that your guests can use and everytime they do use or see it think of your day..I think this is what shawn and I are going to do just because I would like to give favors to my guest that they may actually use!! LOL

We are doing personalized m&ms. We are probably looking at 300 people. We are going to put them in cute little bags. To save money we are going to add regular M&Ms in with them. Here is the site if you want to check it out!

a lot of people just use tulle (which you can buy anywhere) and then they put in candy or other small objects inside of the tulle and then tie them with the ribbon color of their wedding colors. You can also add fake wedding rings to the ribbon. That would be a fairly cheep favor that people would actually use/eat and enjoy. Some people have put kisses on the mouth part of a spoon and wrapped the tulle around the mouth of the spoon, enclosing the kisses. Then they will add a message saying "Hugs and Kisses from the Bride and Groom" or something along that line. The spoons could be just cheap plasic spoons and they would work just as well! Of course, I am not sure if that is "Cracker box Favors" or not. Depends on what your definition of that is.

We are doing favors for about 200-230 people, and we are doing cookie cutters. We are having a beach theme so they are beach themed cookie cutters. They come in a pack of four, and I will split the pack up, so each pack will provide favors for four people. Total it will only cost me about $80 for everyone.
Here are the cookie cutters I am using ($1.49 for the pack of four):

I have seen some really pretty favours that are flower seeds. It sounds weird I know, but there are so many pretty metaphors that can go with it, and people can use them. You can also wrap them all all nice and pretty and it won't look cheap.
For us we're making jam with my aunt and it's going to say "harvesting our love" on the top. IT's gonna be pretty cost effective too.

HI, I make wedding favour scrolls, that include your chosen photo or a chosen design/theme. I then can write a very personal poem to your guest and the scrolls are tied and printed. A very cheap option and a wonderful keepsake. Please contact me if you wish to have a sample email sent to you from UK.

I'm not 100% sure I'm only 90% sure that you need to submit offers like this in annoucements and opportunities per the rules of one wed. Otherwise your account might get disable if you are a vendor. Like I said I'm only like 90% sure and I hope you take this as a being friendly here. I just wouldn't want to see you get booted or anything. You might just want to look into this. Just trying to be helpful

We're thinking of doing the plantable seed paper favors - you can buy them
from http://swallowtailfarms.com (http://swallowtailfarms.com/) in the shape of a heart. The cheap ones come in an envelope with a paper of instructions. We're going to buy the cheap ones, hole punch the instructions and the paper, add a paper with our names and the date on it, and tie them together with a ribbon in our reception colors. Swallowtail has the lowest prices that I've seen for these. I like the idea because, as KevinsBride2B pointed out, it's something that can be used. And for your family, they'll remember you every time they see the wildflowers that you gave them as a wedding gift. You may want to do something else, though, depending on your wedding date. We are going to be married in the spring, so it seemed appropriate. We're having 450+ people. Good luck, and let us know what you go with!
