Good and Bad

When I asked my kids how there day was they would say "Good". When I asked them what exciting happened today, they would say "Nothing". When I asked them what was new, they would say "Nothing". So I started a game that we would play while having dinner together. It's called Good and Bad.

Share one good thing that happened to you today and one bad thing. You can add to this thread daily.

I'll start -

My good thing - Had trouble dealing with a shipping company but I had a lovely telephone conversation with one of their Managers in Knoxville.

My bad thing - The people working for the same company in Montreal were rude, evasive and tried to place the blame on me for something they screwed up!

I did this with my Aunts and Mom a few years ago. Whenever I would talk to them, instead of asking how their day was, I would say, "What good thing happened to you today?" It turned all of us around and made us think of the good instead of focusing on the bad. It's stuck too, cause even now, we'll do the same.

The Good: It was friday, and I got to leave work 10 minutes earlier than usual. Also, there was no traffic either on the way to school or on the way back!

The Bad: Our school had to go on lockdown for the third time this week because of the fact that the Alternative High School for students who can not be in regular High School due to behavioral problems were having fights again!!!

My good thing today is that I talked with my DH about the holidays and we made plans to talk to his ex and get it worked out early. We will sit down together and make our plans.

the bad thing: i found out that a lot (a whole lot) of people are testing to get into the LPN school. and that they only take 22 at each one.

My good thing today that happened is that I am finishing my DIY veil and its turning out better than I thought.

The bad thing that happened today is my FFIL left the esphogus in the vension neck roast and I had to remove it before my FH and my kids noticed what I was doing then my dinner would of been ruined.

My good thing today was I had the money to get my kids winter coats and boots off layaway. It is way too cold so I had to get them. But we just had enough moeny to do it.

The bad things is I have a headache, the time change is bugging the hell out of me as it does every year, and now I have to go out in that horrible weather to do all this laundry. And my car is acting worse, it felt like it wanted to stall on the way to Concord and it almsot didn't want to start when we came out of Wal Mart.

Good thing .... I managed to get an afternoon nap on the couch.

Bad thing .... I still have lots of stuff to accomplish that was on my weekend to-do list :(

The Good...
I may have found a photographer!
The Bad..... I bought these stensils to do some of my glass etching and there a piece of :censored: !!! I wasted 2 hours working with them before I found out they weren't gonna work!

This is awsome! MArk and i used to play a game exactly like this. But we called it Highs and Lows.

My Good is.... Today was got a message from our landlord that the couple we recomended to him was perfect and they will be taking over the rent on November 24th.

My Bad was.... leaving my family after spending the weekend with them. It was so much fun. I was sad to go.

Good - I got up to nice weather today.

The Good: Matthew and I just ran about 2.5 miles in 15-25 mph winds....

The Bad: Dinner tonight made me feel awful :(

The Good: I've decided to go back to school and FH gave the "green light."
He's an accountant and is always worried about money and budgets!:upsidown:

The Bad: We may have to cut back on wedding expenses that we are not committed to like the guest list.

The good: I took the day off from work and the weather is beautiful so I think I'm going to take some pictures with our new camera and lens!

The Bad: The reason I took the day off from work is that I had a migraine last night, and was up for an hour with severe heartburn!

The good - My coworker didn't come in today.

The bad - looks like she might not come back and this just means that all the extra work will be added onto my pile.

My bad - We ran late this morning and as such our craft show booth wasn't all set up when the doors openned.

The good - it didn't seem to matter to anyone. We had a great day! Back again tomorrow. :)

My bad: we ended up spending $90 more dollars then I had intended in the store on ourselves! lol (we bought another christmas pyramid! I'll have to share pictures soon! )

We went to bed really early last night after the show, because we were pooped so .... our good - we got a great night of sleep and we are awake this morning. :)

The bad - we are both feeling the after effects of loading and unloading, hauling boxes and standing on our feet all day. We are both so sore (getting too old for this crud)! :(

The good - the show was a success and more importantly, it is over!!!

The bad - I am so overwhelmed. We have to put all this stuff away, get back to painting & we will be busy right up until Christmas. Oh yeah, and my body still aches :(

The Good - It snowed last night and when i woke up my neighbore (who we share a driveway with) had shoveled the walk way and arround our car.

The Bad - I had to go to work on the one day Mark and i had together just us.
