I'm planning on doing the same thing for my BM and having a few for myself aswell. I too will b wiring them myself. I'm not buying online though. I'm gonna drive about an hour to a grower and go from there. I don't wanna take any chances with having them delivered. Cala's are very fragile when it coems to the wrong climat or being bumped. I used to work in the floral field. They brown very easily id they get rubbed alot. I know that we used to sell large cala's at $7 a piece. Small cala's are that that grow all together in 1 plant. They will probably sell them by the dozen. What colours are you looking for? Sometimes places will tell you that because they are a specific colour that they are "tropical" and cost more which is not the case at all!!!!
Also depending on where you order them from you could pay a pocket load for shipping because of it being laura fauna.
I'll ask around to people I know and see what they say, but I would really look into seeing if you have any growers near you. Just remember that all those flowers that you see in floal shops, super markets etc, all haev to come from somewhere. You'd be suprised where these growers are tucked away and you'd never even know that they were there.
Good luck

Why don't you try the flower market in NY...I see you are from Jersey. If I am wrong, then I guess it makes no difference, but try the market at 6th Ave and 28 street. There are vendors there who will only sell wholesale to businesses, but you can certainly get something cheap from there. If not, you can always ask the good people around NY to help:) Oh, please do not get them delivered, i have seen what happens to them :(

Hi, they are my fav flowers!!! so pretty. i work for an event florist and i'm not sure what the prices are for what you can get but I think we get the minis for usually close to $3 a stem. they come packed in boxes with other flowers for us and are usually fine so i'm not sure how others get delivered but callas are pretty hardy flowers actually. heat doesn't effect them like a lot of flowers. the white ones do get brown spots sometimes so you do need to make sure to order extras. you're supposed to put them in pure water, no flower food, and only about 2 inches or so of water is the "ideal" but no need to pull out the ruler by any means. also just a warning sometimes when the wholesalers get them they come in VERY SMALL (the mini callas). some weeks when we get them they are great and other times they are insanely small. so def have some extras in case they come in very small and then u will have tiny bouquets. best of luck, hope you find a good place to get them.

I have purchased callas from 2 differant online wholesalers, had no problems with either one. www.onlinewholesaleflowers.com (http://www.onlinewholesaleflowers.com) they were about 4.00 a stem with free shipping. www.morningstarbouquets.com (http://www.morningstarbouquets.com) they were about 1.25 a stem and shipping was extra. The stems will drip water if you are doing hand-held bouquets, you need to keep them out of water at least a half hour before you go down the aisle or dip them in a little melted wax and let dry to seal the stem. Good Luck.

I ordered calla lilies online from flowerbud dot com for my cousin's 11/11/06 wedding. We have the San Francisco Flower Mart nearby, but they were quoting me $7/stem and they couldn't guarantee a deep burgundy for that price. I decided to try to order them online. I'm glad I did. Flowerbud was great. We got the mini calla lilies and mixed them with roses. I really wanted the deep, deep burgundy, but we ended up with a deep purple and that was fine. I even found a coupon code online somewhere. It took a bit of a hunt, but I saved 20% with it.
