My 9 year old daughter is going to be my maid of honor in my December 31, 2005, wedding. I wanted to give her a very special but age-appropriate gift. Also, my sister is my matron of honor. And, I need a suggestion for a special gift for her as well. I really didn't want to go the traditional picture-frame, trinket box, gift idea.

Have you thought about jewelry? That may be appropriate... Good luck!

I'm a big jewelry fan. A beautiful locket with a sentmental photo is a great gift. You could also take them out to lunch as a gift, then go shopping for last minute items before the wedding, and give them the lockets. You could even get them engraved with thier initial on the back, or front, depending on the style. You could get yourself one to match.

Yep I agree with the other girls. The things I treasure most is the jewelry my Mom gave me when I was little. She would love it. Or if she has some jewelry now maybe you could get her a jewelry box.

Ooh, I like that idea!! Jewelry boxes rock! You could even get one with a picture frame in it, and you can give her a picture of the two of you at the wedding. That would be so pretty.

I't unanimous! Jewelry is the best bet. Loving the locket idea. You can get jewelry boxes from AC Moore or Michael's craft stores and put a special picture or poem on it.
