Hugh asked me if I had remembered seeing the cat tonight. Now she's not the kind of cat to just lie out in the open ... noooooo - she prefers to hide out. In fact we rarely see her but she does come out to give us h3ll when when we walk through the door each night.

So DH starts checking all her usual haunts and of course I don't help because LOL, I am sure that he will find her curled up in the bottom of my bedroom closet .... and when he pulls her out, he would end up leaving half of her behind on my clothes!

While he is checking the deepest darkest hiding spots of our tiny apartment I hear him doing the "psss psss psss" thing and it occurs to me that his kitty is older than dirt ... OMG what if he finds her dead? Most everyone knows that I don't care for his cat but I certainly don't want to find her dead!

He's really starting to look worried now and I am starting to think that I should help him look for her and that is when he finds her in the most unlikely of places .... Wonders of all wonders - there she is .... curled up in the cat bed that I made for her!

I am going to kill her for getting DH all worked up like that! Freakin cat!

LOL, don't you just love cats! I swear they do that type of stuff to their owners on purpose.
Glad you found the kitty and she was ok. Darn her for actually lying where she belongs....lol

Guess there is a first time for everything! LOL

ETA - thought I would take a pic since it's not likely to ever happen again!

LOL that's great!
I would totally be worrying the same thing. My dad found my mom's cat a few years ago. It was sad.
I loose our cat at times too. The little monster disapears. I am not looking forward to having to find him when we move to the house. It's hard enough at times in the apartment.

I'm glad she was safe and sound in her bed.

I'm happy that he found her! My two love to stay under the kitchen table or end table when I'm calling them. I swear I can see them smirking :)

OH come on Elizabeth, admit it, you like her!!! She is cute. The new one I brought home a couple weeks ago absolutely hates my daughter. Everytime she tries to pick him up or pet him he bites her. I say he is just older and cranky, kinda like me and leave him alone. haha

We have our "moments" but if I admit to it then I have to give up the "I have a great idea of how to get rid of your dang cat!" comments. LOL I am always trying to pawn her off on guests or visitors!

Hey Treasia .... how about taking in another kitty? I am willing to ship her parcel post!

Glad you found her. I know how he feels. We are the same way about our cats and they are only a yr old. We got them for the kdis but they have taken to us.

LOL and Hugh saw my post and said "Hey what are you doing giving my cat away". Hugh says thanks Jerry!

*sigh* Men! Why do they have to ruin our fun? LOL

I have to give up my cats when I move. FMIL doesn't like indoor cats, and my girls have never been outside. (I get to keep my dog which is good). I'm still trying to figure out a way to keep them, but unless I win the lottery and can afford my own place it's not gonna happen. I'm going to call the place I adopted them from and give them back. I may ask if I pay them a certain amount every month, if they will just foster them until Mark and I can afford our own place. I love my cats.
