Behind where our head table will sit is an ugly door. We're gonna have to cover this wall somehow but I looked into getting the hall to do it and it's like $400! WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!
The wall is 40ft length wide and I don't know how tall but a regular ballroom pretty much.
Any ideas? My MOH is actually an event planer for trades shows and we're hoping she can find soemthing but I just need some DIY inpirations. My wedding is in the fall but it is NOT a fall theme!!!! If any of you crafty critters have any ideas please let me know, it's bugging me lol.
Also this is only goign to be done to 1 wall. It won't look stupid to have one wall done as it's the front of the room anyway behind us at the head table.

Not sure if this will help but this is what my FFIL will be building me for behind the head table and we will be putting tulle and twinkle lights on it. hope this helps. We are only using the middle part but you could use the whole unit. He is using vinyl lattice and putting hinges on it so we can fold it up to be brought into the hall. Best of luck to you.
Edited b/c I meant Vinyl instead of plastic.

NO problem I have also seen where some people just drape the tulle and twinkle lights on the back wall that is also very pretty. Found it on onewed under amy and bill

ITA about thetwinkle lights going behind it, like amy and bill had. The place I am having my reception has the wall sort of decorated like that, except there is black fabric on either end almost like an opened curtain with the tulle and twinkle lights in the middle (I hope that makes sense it is kind of hard to explain) so you could do something like that if you didn't want the whole wall covered in twinkle lights and tulle, or you could just cover the middle of the wall and leave the ends open, if it would still cover the door. I hope you figure something out!
BTW-we have the same wedding date!

Do you know anyone who owns a foldable screen? Maybe you could borrow it and set that up behind you. You could cover it in fabric and lights too to make it look really gorgeous! Good luck!

A 40ft wall is a lot of space to cover so maybe by using those plastic pull tab hooks that don't damage walls you could hang tulle or fabric like curtains. (def search discount fabric or tulle in bulk) Hang them section by section all across the room so it's pretty much solid across the top and then gather each section and tie it with pretty ribbon. Pretty much like the idea of this window pic except all across the wall. It will be a little more defined and elegant instead of just a solid wall of tulle. Just an idea. good luck i'm sure whatever you do will be really pretty!
