Ummm I thought I was a DIY godess but I just saw this link tonight and I am gob smacked (blown away)! This woman's stuff is amazing. Maybe other's can get some ideas from her DIY stuff - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=107723.0

I did some of that but not to that extent. I love her favours! I think i would have rather done that!

Those are crazy!! She gave me some great ideas though! I love the candle idea...I would've never thought to just glue vellum to a candle!

And here I thought I was creative!

Thanks for sharing Elizabeth. I was already thinking of doing the scrapbook thing, but that just confirmed my idea on it. And I love the newsletter idea too. That could be fun!!!!

So these newsletters are for the reception...for people to read about you while they wait at their table??

And what kind of activities could go into an activity book for kids??

i made a coloring book for the kids at my weddings. it's just the events of the day, etc. hopefully it'll keep them a little busy

The newsletter could either be the program itself or something that could be placed at each table setting.

For the kids, one could include a wonder word? crossword puzzle for the older kids? finding the difference between two pictures? colouring pages?

The newsletter could contain facts about the couple, names of the important players (the bridal party, the groomsmen, the parents, readers, officiant etc.)

Wow! I'm sure that I'm totally going to be taking some of those ideas and using them for my wedding. I wish that I were naturally that talented!!
