I love being home. I love being home so much that if I didn't need a paycheck, I probably wouldn't go out. I spend my time at work, watching the clock and looking forward to picking up DH and getting home.

I am not anxious about going out into the world or anything like that but when I have to go out, I see it as a big hassle (having to get dressed, put on make up, fight traffic etc.) and an infringement on my home/painting time. I plan out my errands etc. so as to get them done in the fastest and most efficient way so that I can get back home.

When it comes to entertaining, I would prefer to have guests over rather than go to someone's house for an evening even if that means cleaning up our place.

I love love love my weekends! There is nothing I enjoy more than getting up early on a Sat. morning, putting on a pot of coffeee, checking the email and then painting uninterupted all day long. I love NOT having to get out of my pyjamas and NOT having to drive somewhere to work.

I could be part agoraphobic, or part eccentric artist but then again, I may be just lazy :)

Anyone else like me?

I'm with you on this one...I have my home, my horses, my kitchen and all the things I love right at hand...on the weekends I get absolutely giddy when I know that the whole day will be spent at home and it gives me a chance to fix a nice home cooked meal and clean and do the things I love!

I guess I am not like that at all. I love being on the go, socializing and getting stuff done outside the house. Sundays are meant to clean the house. Saturdays are meant to get things done and go have fun outside...During the week I love going to work and getting out of the house for awhile.. I don't know.. I would love to be able to laze around and work around the house and do nothing.. BUt if I don't get something big accomplished on the weeekends i feel as though it wasn't a good weekend.

Except for the painting, this is exactly me, Elizabeth! :) I am living for my retirement on 06/01/12. I don't leave the house unless I absolutely have to. :calm:

I can sort of relate to you on some of the things that you love. EX. in my case FH coming home and my kids. Staying home and doing your job at home. But I also love to spend time with the extended family and friends on the weekends outside of my home. I hate to have parties at my house I get way to nervous about people judging me and my house even though I know that they are not. I also like to get out of the house even if its just going window shopping at least once a day so I won't go stir crazy.

Oh heck yes. I love to stay home!! I live to make my husband happy and comfortable! Call me old fashioned. When I got layed off from my semi decent paying job Matthew and I were merely engaged but he promised me that if I never wanted to again I would never have to work a day in my life again. I enjoy staying home and doing laundry, cooking gourmet meals and taking care of him. That's not to say that I bring him slippers and a paper every night when he gets home, hell, he can get that himself! lol. But I just love being at home when he gets home. When we get the farm, I'll be working with him, right by his side as long as the weather ain't too cold! (lol) I hated the work force, I felt like just another face in a faceless working crowd. I'm happy to be at home, I feel more complete. Does that make any sense? And when we have children, they will get the attention they deserve and need just like my Mother (sort of) gave to me!!! :D

I am like you, too. I do like to go to the gym and out for dinner or the theatre once in awhile, but 9 times out of 10, I really prefer to stay home.

I love, love, love my work and I am very happy to leave home for that though and not always being steady, I am always extremely grateful and ecstatic to have work! I also spend a great deal of time working on things at home.

I am totally a home body.

More and more now. I love being here. I would rather work from home like you. And be a mom and a wife and do all that sort of stuff. I prefer to have people over here because i am more comfy.

Mark and i rarely go out anymore. We stay in and watch a video. We will go out to the movie theatre maybe 4 times a year.

i'm totally not like that. Yes I do get sick of being out if we are gone too long and I just want to get back home. But generally, I would rather be out doing something than just sitting at home...I get bored rather easily, so I always have to be doing something. And when I am home, I don't usually do the stuff I need to do (because usually its chores and I hate that). I'm kind of half and half...sometimes I like to be home and sometimes I like to be gone.

I normally like to stay home too. I do like to out to eat every now and then or to a movie or something, but if we are talking like going out to 'party' on the weekends, or just to get out of the house, nah, I prefer to stay home.

My sister sometimes says I am becoming a hermit  But it is not like I stay inside 24/7 ... I take the dogs for daily walks, I go to the grocery store, I go out to lunch with random friends and/or visit family probably once a week, so I do get out.

The way I see it is that I have everything I need at home, I don't get bored, I don't have to worry what other people think or what other drama is going on with someone else ... I love my house, I love being at home with DH and my dogs. I too would rather have people come to our house than to go hang out somewhere else.

Funny, DH got invited to a going away party for a friend of his and I didn't want to go ... probably because I don't know the people very will, plus it was pretty far away and I didn't want to have to leave the dogs crated at home for that long.

I don't know, I am just not the kind of person who has to look for a reason to get out of the house ... I am content with staying in :grinhappy: The only time it bothers me is when DH works alot and I don't see him much. So I will sometimes take the dogs and go to the park or something.

I would rather stay at home then to have to get up and out to work every day. But I think I need that just to get motivated. I have not left the house all weekend this weekend and I dont intend to before heading out in the morning. I am not a good hosuekeeper. I hate doing hosue work mroe then anything. But if Icould stay home I am sure I would get more of it done. It is like my weekend are for taking it easy as I work all week long.

As for going out of the house to do things I love it and some times I perfer to stay home. We have a couple of friends come over to play a game once in a while. We go to concerts, plays, out to dinner, shopping with the kids etc. I have to get out once in a while to do something. But over all I perfer to stay at home. Like Elizabeth I could stay in my PJ'S all day. I love that.

With that said, I did get a lot accomplished. I have done the laundry, changed the sheets, straightened up, picked up, packed up, painted up three orders .... had two afternoon naps :) :) and one nice long bubble bath! I made dinner tonight including fresh bread, a la bread machine!

I just get so much more done when I stay home!

I too love to stay home. The only reason I even left the house was to pick up my prescription of BCP (I had to start a new cycle today). The only other times I ever want to leave is to go to games. I used to have a job where I telecommuted. I LOVED that, I was perfectly happy staying at home most of the time.

I love to stay home as well. But.. I like to go out and do something on the weekends or my days off sometimes too.(or sometimes just having people over my house is just as fun.)Every now and again I want to go see a movie or go out for dinner and such. I guess you can call me a happy medium! :)
